TIGERS POST 0-6 RECORD AT ARIZONA TOURNEY Wolves Grab ‘W’ In Oklahoma Tourney

Lincoln’s baseball team picked up its first win of the season during the People’s Bank Classic in Westville, Okla., last week.

The Wolves ( 1-9) opened the tournament with a 7-5 loss against Stilwell, Okla., but rebounded with a 5-3 win against Roland, Okla. They wrapped up the tourney with a 5-0 loss against Westville.

Lincoln needed just four hits to defeat Roland.

Trea Harrison reached base three times for the Wolves while scoring a run and driving in a run. He hit a key double in the seventh inning that scored Dalton Lee.

Pace Maddox picked up the win on the mound by striking out three and scattering two hits in four shutout innings.

The Wolves had a seventh-inning rally come up short despite out-hitting Stilwell 10-1.

Unfortunat­ely, Lincoln committed eight errors in the loss.

Tristian Young, Toby Rose, Garrett Blankenshi­p and Sterling Morphis all had two hits each for Lincoln. Blankenshi­p had a pair of doubles, while Rose and Caleb Loyd each had a double.

Garrett Prater and Rose each went three innings for the Wolves and combined to allow just one hit with 10 strikeouts.
