Lin­coln’s base­ball team picked up its first win of the sea­son dur­ing the Peo­ple’s Bank Clas­sic in Westville, Okla., last week.

The Wolves ( 1-9) opened the tour­na­ment with a 7-5 loss against Stil­well, Okla., but re­bounded with a 5-3 win against Roland, Okla. They wrapped up the tour­ney with a 5-0 loss against Westville.

Lin­coln needed just four hits to de­feat Roland.

Trea Har­ri­son reached base three times for the Wolves while scor­ing a run and driv­ing in a run. He hit a key dou­ble in the sev­enth in­ning that scored Dal­ton Lee.

Pace Mad­dox picked up the win on the mound by strik­ing out three and scat­ter­ing two hits in four shutout in­nings.

The Wolves had a sev­enth-in­ning rally come up short de­spite out-hit­ting Stil­well 10-1.

Un­for­tu­nately, Lin­coln com­mit­ted eight er­rors in the loss.

Tris­tian Young, Toby Rose, Gar­rett Blanken­ship and Ster­ling Mor­phis all had two hits each for Lin­coln. Blanken­ship had a pair of dou­bles, while Rose and Caleb Loyd each had a dou­ble.

Gar­rett Prater and Rose each went three in­nings for the Wolves and com­bined to al­low just one hit with 10 strike­outs.
