Clothesline Fair Top 10 Checklist
LOTS TO DO AT ANNUAL CLOTHESLINE FAIR
1. Shopping! Starting at 8:30 a.m. each day. Booths will feature homemade crafts and this year will include some vendors with vintage and repurposed items for sale.
2. Enjoy great food. The regular standbys will be on hand, as well as some new food trucks this year. Non-profit organizations include Prairie Grove Band Boosters, Boy Scouts, American Legion.
3. Learn more about the Battle Of Prairie Grove at Hindman Hall Museum. Open 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
4. Enjoy the Latta Kitchen and Gardens with a master gardener and living history expert, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
5. See the Rustic Relics from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., featuring farming antiques and tractors.
6. Visit with representatives at information booths sponsored by Sons of Union Veterans and the Sons of Confederate Veterans.
7. Bring a lawn chair, sit in the shade and tap your toes. Live music will be ongoing around the park grounds. Gospel music is popular on Sunday afternoon.
8. Watch the Clothesline Fair parade, 9 a.m. Saturday. It begins at Prairie Grove Middle School and ends at Battlefield Park. See local bands, square dance groups, clowns, tractors and much more.
9. Watch area children and teenagers square dance at the amphitheater, starting at 2:30 p. m., Saturday and Monday. More than 60 groups are registered to perform.
10. At 10 a.m. Saturday, watch the changing of the flag at the Memorial Yard by the Battle Monument.
