Doris Isobel Dobbs, 92, of Evansville, Ark., went to be with her L o rd and Savior Aug. 30, 2016, at her daughter’s home in Shawnee, Okla. She wa s born April 16, 1924, in Oklahoma City, Okla., the daughter of Clarence H. Hall and Alice Richmond Hall.

When she was 12 her family moved to Fort Smith, Ark. She lived and attended school in Odell and Barling. She married Edwin “Deek” Dobbs on Sept. 5, 1944 in Van Buren, Ark. After they married they moved to Yakima, Wash., then they returned to Odell Mountain when they retired. Doris was postmistre­ss at Odell Post Office for several years.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Deek Dobbs; six children, Eddie, Lorhema, Reno, Clarence, Willis, and Garnet; her parents, Clarence and Alice Richmond Hall; two grandchild­ren, Wesley Bynum III and Charles Ray Bynum; her brothers, Clarence R. Hall, Wallace “Bill” Hall, Ed Hall, Harrison “H.V.” Hall; and her sister, Vera Rogers.

She is survived by her daughter, Frankie and husband Wesley Bynum II of Shawnee; one daughter- in- law, Jessica Dobbs of Cane Hill, Ark.; one grandson, Paul Bynum and wife Rhonda of Macomb, Okla.; four granddaugh­ters, Isabella, Elisabeth, Lili- anna and Lauren Dobbs; one great- granddaugh­ter, Adrienne and husband Jepothy Quirk of Shawnee; one great- grandson, Jacob Bynum and his mother Kimberly Swanson of Shawnee; one great-great-grandson, Everett Quirk; and one great- great- grandson on the way, Frankie J. Vern Quirk.

Funeral service was held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Sept, 3, 2016, at Luginbuel Chapel in Prairie Grove, Ark., with burial following at Shady Grove Cemetery near Morrow, Ark.
