Many Gather To Celebrate Couple’s Union

- MARIE ROY WCN Columnist

The Morrow fire station was full to overflowing Sunday afternoon when family and friends gathered for the wedding shower for Seth Latta and Kaytlynn Waskom. One had to be present to realize and enjoy the wide variety and value of the many gifts, too numerous to list, and given with the best of wishes for the couple. Many appliances were given, and only one-of-a kind of all, except for wall clocks. They received three really nice clocks, so there will be no excuse for being late to work, or for other occasions! We again wish for them a long and happy life together.

Recently, I had occasion to again brag about how rich I am. While going to the mail box one afternoon I heard a tractor, and saw Johnny, and Dean and his sons Derek and Hudson, busily mowing, and grading the patch north of the yard. The boys also cleaned up some brush I had trimmed from some shrubs. They also pushed over a dead elm tree, hauled off the brush, and cleaned up the area. They accomplished in a few hours what it would have taken me weeks to get done, and some that I couldn’t have done at all. Dean even put up another clothesline for me, when he noticed that there was only one up.

Bonita Hill had as guests, family members Mike and Kathy Hampton and son, and they came to the Center with her, Tuesday. They added to the fun of the kitchen band, joining in, playing instruments, sharing jokes and the Chicken Dance. We’re hoping they join the band at the Hee Haw Show. They’re welcome anytime!

Happy birthday to Loyd W. Luginbuel, Nell Johnston, Lola Bradley, Russell Morphis, Darryl Sisemore, Brian Roy, Rainy Laycox, Oda Wagnon.

Happy anniversary to Chris and Megan Luttrell, Vince and Alicia Wofford. Happy years, all! Remember recycling Monday Oct. 10.
