Fall Festival Farmington First Church of the Nazarene will have a community Fall Festival, 4-6 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 8 at thc church, 9 South Cherry St., in Farmington. It will include inflatable­s, classic car show, live music, face painting, free food and more. Free to the community. Everyone is welcome.

Book Sale Farmington Public Library is still accepting gently used books and audio/visual materials for its fall book sale. The sale will be held noon-5 p.m. Oct. 21 and 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Oct. 22. If you have books to give away, drop them off at the library. Prices will start at 10 cents for pocket paperback books. Meals will be served from 5-7 p.m. Prairie Grove UMC is located at 1401 E Parks Street.

Family Dog Walk/Run Friends of Prairie Grove Pound will hold a Family Dog Walk and Fun Run from 2-5 p.m., Sunday, Oct. 23, beginning at the amphitheat­er at Prairie Grove Battlefiel­d State Park. Registrati­on begins at 2 p.m. and dogs must be registered to participat­e. Cost is $10 for first dog and $5 per dog after that.

Free E-Waste Disposal Boston Mountain Solid Waste District is accepting electronic­s for free until October 31. Items included are stereos, television­s, computers, microwaves, satellite boxes, VCR’s, DVD players and cellphones. The district is located between Prairie Grove and Lincoln at 11398 Bond Road. Hours are 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. MondayFrid­ay and 8 a.m. to noon on Saturday.

Blood Drive Community Blood Center of the Ozarks will have a blood drive 8 a.m. to 2 p.m., Wednesday, Oct. 12 at Prairie Grove High School. The center has an urgent need for all blood types. Blood reserves are at critically low levels.
