Lincoln Celebrates Homecoming

LINCOLN — Lincoln senior maid Lexington Dobbs was selected as the high school’s 2016 Homecoming queen Friday night. The 2015 Homecoming queen, Sarah Gilford, who graduated in May, returned to crown Lexington Dobbs as the new queen.

The 2016 Homecoming ceremony at Wolfpack Stadium began Friday with the introduction of homecoming maids and their escorts.

Freshman maids included: Rachel Flake, daughter of Matthew and Virginia Tanksley, escorted by Gohon Lee, son of Brian Lee and Stacey Cha; and Ashton Joffrion, daughter of Melissa Joffrion, escorted by Lee Jones and Marcus Gooding, son of Ronnie and Angela Gooding.

So p h o m o re ma ids included: Libby Calico, daughter of Bill and Anita Calico, escorted by Dalton Lee, son of Chris and Shannon Lee; Maya Shue, daughter of David Shue and Monica Allen, escorted by Jackson Shue and Joseph Chavana, son of Terry and Rachel Murray; and Melanie Vivanco, daughter of Yoen Garcia, escorted by Luis Vivanco, son on Yoen Vivanco.

Junior maids included: Kali Brewer, daughter of Nick and Missy Brewer, escorted by Zach Duncan, son of Leroy and Pam Duncan; Samantha Drain, daughter of Ray and Jennifer Drain, escorted by Tyler Drain and Tou Xiong, son of De Vue and Yong Xiong; Jenifer Thao, daugher of Ger and Mai Thao, escorted by Brent Crews, grandson of Dyanna Turner; and Hollie Webb, daughter of Colburn and Jessica Webb, escorted by Logan Gilbreth, son of Donny and Andrea Gilbreth.

The 2016 Homecoming attendants were: Carli Cruz, daughter of Alfonso and Devin Cruz; and Jace McDaniel, son of Federico McDaniel and Debi Jones.

Last to be introduced were senior maids: Sydney Brewer, daughter of Jonathan and Sheila Brewer, escorted by Harrison Swayne, son of Lori Russell; McKenna Cunningham, daughter of Brent Cunningham and Kara Finigan, escorted by Richard Watson and Jason Swain, son of Steven and Heather Swain, and grandson of Harry and Sharron Swain; Lexington Dobbs, daughter of Dwayne and LaDonna Dobbs, escorted by Pace Maddox, son of Steve and Marlo Maddox; Darian McConnell, daughter of Josh and Julie McConnell, escorted by Cameron Brown, son of Anthony Brown and Ashley Greene; and Breeana Noyce, daughter of Zach and Sara Noyce, escorted by Henry Aguirre, son of Irma Pena.
