Veterans Day Activities Planned

PRAIRIE GROVE

Middle School Prairie Grove Middle School will honor veterans with a Veterans Day Assembly, Friday, Nov. 11. A flag-raising ceremony will be held at 7:50 a.m. at the flag pole. A veterans’ breakfast will be held at 8 a.m. in the middle school cafeteria and a Veterans Day Assembly will be held from 9-10 a.m. in the gym. All veterans, dressed in their military attire if they choose, their middle school student and spouse are invited to come to the breakfast.

FARMINGTON

Cardinal Arena Farmington High School will honor veterans with a program at 9:30 a.m. Friday, Nov. 11, at Cardinal Arena on Highway 170.

The public is invited to attend and help high school students honor area veterans. A veterans’ breakfast will be held at 8:45 a.m., also at Cardinal Arena.

Senior Center Farmington Senior Center will honor veterans with lunch and a cake at 11 a.m., Thursday, Nov. 10. All veterans and spouses are invited to attend.

Williams Elementary As part of its Grandparen­ts Day celebratio­n, students at Williams Elementary will honor veterans at 9 a.m. Friday, Nov. 11 with the Pledge of Allegiance, two special songs and banners for the armed forces. Veteran grandparen­ts will be recognized with VIP seating.

LINCOLN

Lincoln Elementary Lincoln Elementary will honor veterans with a flag presentati­on at 9 a.m., Friday, Nov. 11. All veterans in the community are invited to come to the school so that they can be honored by the second- and third-grade students.
