Wolves Shut Out At Gravette

GRAVETTE — Hunter Cole pitched five innings and struck out 10 Lincoln batters in a 12- 0 shutout game against the Lincoln Wolves at Gravette on Thursday.

The Lions had five hits in the game. Lincoln had two hits and eight errors in the five-inning contest.

Brady Moorman had two of Gravette’s hits in the game and one RBI. Mason Dagley had one hit and two RBIs.

The Lions scored two runs in the first inning. Moorman, who got on with a fielder’s choice ground ball, scored on a Hunter Cole fly ball to right. Brodie Parsons, who walked, later made it home on a wild pitch.

In the third, Parsons walked and then scored on a Cole double to left. Cole made it home on a Lincoln error. Dalton Bass ( also walked) scored on a Dagley ground ball to second. Dylan Gruver also scored on the play. Nick Newbill, who was hit by a pitch, later scored when Kilby Roberts hit a dropped fly ball to center. Dagley scored on a second base error, and Roberts made it home on a passed ball, to put Gravette up, 9-0, at the end of three.

Donny Lemonds and Gruver scored in the fourth on a Dagley line- drive to right field. Dagley later made it home on a Moorman single to right.

Cole struck out three of the four Lincoln batters in the top of the fifth and stranded a Lincoln runner on first to take the shutout win in 4 ½ innings.
