Luke Hall leaving Bell Pharmacy for Harps
Luke Hall, owner of Bell Pharmacy on Lincoln Square, will become the pharmacist for the new Harps Food Store to open June 7 on Pridemore Drive in Lincoln.
Bell Pharmacy will close June 6 but before then, Hall said he plans to have a customer appreciation day sometime in May and hopes the community will come out for the special celebration.
Hall said the Harps’ pharmacy will continue to offer a hometown pharmacy along the same lines as Bell Pharmacy, a fixture on the square for about 50 years. The pharmacy will be focused on providing the best, most healthful outcomes for its patients.
The decision to close Bell Pharmacy and work for Harps was a difficult one, said Hall, who has owned Bell Pharmacy for about 12 years.
Hall said he is looking forward to the change because it will give him the opportunity to focus on being the pharmacist and helping patients. He will not have to deal with the financial side of running a small business.
Harps has been very receptive in working with Hall in making the transition from Bell Pharmacy to the new store. Hall said he carries several specialty items that are requested by doctors and will still be able to do this with Harps.
The Harps pharmacy will have a drive-through to pick up prescriptions and also will be able to deliver prescriptions. Current employees with Bell Pharmacy have been offered similar positions with the Harps pharmacy. Hall said some have made the decision to go with Harps and others are still deciding.
Hall is looking forward to seeing his regular customers at Harps and also meeting new customers.
Stop by Bell Pharmacy in the next couple months and greet Hall and his staff before they make the change to move down the highway.
