Charles Dion Barnes, 50, of Prairie Grove, Ark., passed away Sunday, May

7, 2017, in Fayetteville,

Ark. He was born Oct.

30, 1966, in Fayetteville, the son of Charles F. and Mary L. (Bradley) Barnes.

He was an avid outdoorsman. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping and golfing. He was a very handy man and could build anything he set his mind to. He was very dedicated to his family. He loved family gatherings, playing corn hole, and watching the Hogs play. He will be deeply missed by his friends, family, and all who knew him.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his grandparents, Noah and Flora Bradley; his uncle and aunt, Guy and Bula Sheperd.

He is survived by his wife, Wendy Barnes; two daughters, Jenifer Austin and husband Chad and Jessika Barnes; one brother, Joe Barnes and wife Elisha; his granddaughter, Remington Austin; niece and nephew, Tyesha and Noah Barnes; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.

Funeral service was held at 2 p.m. Saturday, May 13, 2017, at Prairie Grove Christian Church. Burial was in the Prairie Grove Cemetery. No graveside services were held.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Prairie Grove Christian Church for “The Great Serve” fund.
