Washington County Enterprise-Leader
Round Building Reunion Scheduled For Sunday
A reunion of students and staff who were in Farmington School District’s Round Building will be held 4-6 p.m. Sunday, May 21, in the high school cafeteria.
All who were in the Round Building between 1974 and 2004 are invited to come to remember experiences in the former elementary school building. The event will include family-friendly activities.
The following are activities that will be going on for the reunion:
• Bring any school pictures to be placed in sheet protectors with your name so you can take them home.
• Bring a picture we can put on your name tag.
• Bring pennies for Meals on Wheels.
• There will be carnival games, similar to those played years ago. Any high school students who would like to volunteer to help with the games are asked to show up.
• Did you ever want to ring the old fire bell in the round building? Three rings for $1.
• Do you have any videos from time in the round building? There will be a table set up with a small tv/vcr.
• Do you have any of the games we played for inside recess?
• We’ll even have a table for art or schoolwork done there. Make sure it has your name so you can take it home.
• If we have some high school volunteers, we will have an elementary art table.
• Share your memories of the round building!
• There will be free food and some food for sale. Some of the activities will have small fees.
Money raised from activities beyond costs will go to two projects:
• A donation in memory of Isaac Cartwright
• The Lee Street Community Center in the poorest county of Arkansas, where Pickle Lady is co-director of activities.
