William ‘Bill’ Curtsinger

William “Bill” Curtsinger, 76, passed away May 18, 2017, after losing his battle with ALS. He was born July 29, 1940, in Walkermine, Calif., to Henry and Nona Mae Nash Curtsinger.

He was raised and went to school in Prairie Grove, Ark. He worked summers in the oil fields in Texas. In 1959, he went to work for Frank & Rhine Co. He was an employee and part owner of the company till 1985. The company built and remodeled banks in the 4-state area. At that time he retired from the company to farm full-time, he raised cattle and had two pig nurseries for Murphy’s till he was forced to retire in 2013 because of his ill health from ALS.

He married Erma L. Pitts Jan. 16, 1960, in Greenfield, Mo.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Troy and sister-in-law Margaret, all of Prairie Grove, Ark.

He is survived his wife of 57 years, Erma; three children, Debbie Jenkins (Danny) of Golden City, Mo., Carla Davis (Tim) of Lamar, Mo., and Henry Curtsinger (Donna), Golden City; eight grandchild­ren; and 15 great-grandchild­ren.

In lieu of flowers the family wishes for donations to be made to Bethlehem Cemetery in care of Konantz Warden Funeral Home.

Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. Monday, May 22, 2017, at Konantz Warden Funeral Home with Mark Cummins officiatin­g. Interment was in Bethlehem Cemetery in Lockwood, Mo.
