Memorial Day Cemetery Decorations Coming Up

A reminder this Saturday, May 27, is the 22nd annual Cincinnati reunion, to be held in the Fire Station just east of Cincinnati, from 1 to 4 p.m. You are asked to bring photos of family members who have served in the Armed Forces.

This Sunday, May 28, will be the usual fourth Sunday Decorations at Antioch, Beaty, Cheatham, Ganderville, Old Union, Sugar Hill, Rose, Wedington, and White Rock cemeteries. Memorial Day will be Cane Hill and White Oak. This week-end, “the nearest to Memorial Day,” is also Farmington cemetery decoration.

I have just come from the mail box and was rewarded with two birthday cards from our cousins in California, prolonging my Mother’s Day, birthday celebrations. It started with one family coming Saturday with a beautiful door mat (too pretty to step on) and a good visit. Sunday didn’t turn out as planned, but all day was a special time for memories, with visits from early till late, and with so many floral gifts, cards and a glutenfree birthday cake. I didn’t attend church as planned, but expected to attend the Baccalaureate Service for the ‘17 Farmington graduating class, but decided not to go because there would be so much walking, and many steps to climb. I did get to see the pictures, and I was proud of my great-grandson Caleb Lipford, as he led the service in prayer.

The afternoon also included enjoying my youngest “great,” one-month-old Brynlee Luttrell, with her parents Chris and Megan, and two “big brothers,” and I finally gave the baby and the younger of brothers their quilts as I have made for all the others.

Happy birthday to Levi Bradley, Paige Sisemore, Kenneth Cruikshank, Dallas McClellan, James Lee King, Derek Morris, Willie Leming, Rylee Pitts, Helen Parker, Larry Hacker.

Happy anniversary to Caleb and Lisa Rawls, Henson and Reba Tittle, Jeremy and Teresa Pitts.

For those who have loved ones in the Beaty Cemetery, donations are needed and appreciated, for upkeep.
