Connie Jean Phillips
Connie Jean Phillips, 65, of Prairie Grove, Ark., passed away Saturday, Aug. 5, 2017, at her home. She was born July 28, 1952, in Iowa City,
Iowa, the daughter of Leo and Betty (Pata) Detert.
She was an active member of the NAWIC (National Association of Women in Construction) for 13 years, she was a hardworking woman as well as a devoted wife, loving mother and grandmother and sister. She enjoyed camping with family and working in her flower garden.
She was preceded in death by her parents and two grandsons, Tristin and Gunnar Molz.
She is survived by her husband, Wayne Phillips; four daughters, Carrie Cummings and husband Jerry of Rison, Ark., Wendy Parnell and husband Brian of Prairie Grove, Samantha Molz and husband Michael of Lincoln, Ark., and Randi Phillips of Prairie Grove; three sisters, Susie Molz of Prairie Grove, Cherry Cronin and husband Jim of Blackwell, Okla., and Diane Cowell of New Hampton, Iowa; one brother, Butch Detert and wife Betty of Tiffin, Iowa; seven grandchildren, Lance Parnell, Hunter Pierce, Spencer Parnell, Brandy Molz, Makinsey Parnell, Cami Phillips and Winter Molz.
Funeral service was held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 9, 2017, at Luginbuel Chapel in Prairie Grove. Burial was in the Prairie Grove Cemetery.
