Annual School Elections Set

- By Lynn Kutter

The annual school elections will be Tuesday, Sept. 19, and Farmington, Prairie Grove and Lincoln school boards all have races for each of their open positions.

Farmington

School District also is asking its registered voters to allow the district to extend debt to acquire bonds.

The school’s millage rate would remain the same at 42.6 mills. If the district is allowed to extend debt another 10 years, it would give the district the possible option of acquiring about $4 million in bonds to use for Phase 3 of the high school campus.

Early voting opens Tuesday, Sept. 12, at Washington County Courthouse and continues through Monday, Sept. 18. Hours to vote will be 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on the weekdays.
