Good­bye Sum­mer, Wel­come Fall

Wel­come Au­tumn! The patch on the one par­tic­u­lar tree we watch from the li­brary started turn­ing colors a cou­ple of weeks ago and we are so ex­cited about the cooler tem­per­a­tures!!

The Arkansas Ap­ple Fes­ti­val is com­ing up soon, if you are in­ter­ested in help­ing please call me here at the li­brary at 824-3294. The pa­rade will start at 10 a.m. with pre-judg­ing at 9 a.m. for all the floats, an­tique cars and trac­tors. Lots of fun, crafts and food to be en­joyed the first week­end in Oc­to­ber here in Lin­coln!

We are also start­ing up Fall Story Time with Ms. Sherry Rodgers Sept. 5 (on Wed­nes­days 10 a.m. here in Lin­coln) through Dec. 22. Her Book Talk­ers Club will also be meet­ing Tues­day, Sept. 12, from 3:30 to 5 p.m. Stu­dents 6th grade and up are wel­come to come and be a part of this free club. For more in­for­ma­tion, you can al­ways call us here at the li­brary.

Are you get­ting ready to put up your Fall har­vest, or “prep­ping” for win­ter, maybe win­ter­iz­ing your home? We have books that can help you and/or com­put­ers that you can use for re­search. Don’t be caught un­pre­pared! Come by and see us here at the Lin­coln Pub­lic Li­brary to help.

Sum­mer was nice and hope­fully this Fall will be beau­ti­ful. It’s time to think about curl­ing up in your favorite blan­ket with a good book or movie be­cause… Win­ter is com­ing.
