Noah A. Couch, 84, of Lincoln, Ark., passed away Saturday, Dec. 30, 2017, at his home surrounded by his family. He was born June 28, 1932, in Thorne, Ark., the youngest of eight children, and was the son of Bordie F. Couch and Ora Venice Couch.

He served in the Navy from 1952 to 1956 as EN2. He met his wife of 63 years, Barbara Jean (Ferreria) Couch while he was stationed in California.

After the Navy, he and Barbara remained in California and later moved to Arkansas where he began his career as a carpenter. He continued to work as a carpenter until his retirement. He was a reserve police officer for Lincoln. He loved to fish, hunt, and spend time with his family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, Bordie F. Couch; mother, Ora Venice (Whitmire) Couch; seven siblings, Mabel Todd, Arthur Ewell Couch, Lela Patrick, Reba Brown, Thomas Afton Couch, Miles Edgar Couch, Leah Cunningham; and one great-granddaugh­ter, Isabelle Lawless.

He is survived by his loving wife, Barbara Couch; six children, Kenneth Couch of Farmington, Ark., Ron Couch and wife Terri of Picayune, Miss., Roxann Brown and husband John of West Fork, Ark., Venus Bryan and husband Mike of Bentonvill­e, Ark, Shelly Witt of Springdale, Ark., and Allen Couch of Farmington; . 11 grandchild­ren, June Couch, Kenneth Couch Jr., Mathew Couch, Shannon Couch, Nichole Couch, Christina Lawless, Jessica Long, Adam Brown, Amanda Lanham, Courtney Sample and Sean Couch; 16 great-grandchild­ren; and many other loving nieces, nephews and relatives.

Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 3, 2018, at Luginbuel Funeral Home, in Prairie Grove, Ark., with pastors Eddie Samuels and Gary Jewell performing the ceremony.

A private burial will follow in Pinnacle Cemetery.
