Farmington Colors Day Showcase
FARMINGTON — Farmington High School celebrated spirit week leading up to Colors Day festivities on Friday.
The Farmington High School band, flagline, cheerleaders and dance team were all part of the ceremony. The coronation was held Friday at Cardinal Arena prior to basketball games against Russellville.
Senior Javan Jowers was christened king and senior Bailee King was crowned queen.
The court included: sophomore maid Malaya Logan, daughter of Annette Clark and Martesh Logan, escorted by Austin Shelley, son of John and Melissa Shelley, and Marqwaveon Watson, son of Crystal London; sophomore maid Abeni Schlinker, daughter of Nikki and Jeremy Schlinker, escorted by Tyler Vollmer, son of Bart and Kerri Vollmer; and Cade Young, son of Greg and Susan Young; junior maid Eliza Ball, daughter of Pete and Frankie Ball, escorted by Jaylen Montez, son of Raymond Montez, and Noah Disheroon, son of Tim and Rebekah Disheroon; junior maid Madison Osnes, daughter of Randy and Liz Osnes, escorted by Danny Valenzuela, son of Danny and Tracy Valenzuela, and Riley Funk, son of Robby Funk; and junior maid Allison Selph, daughter of Lance and Misti Selph, escorted by Jayden Whitmore, son of Manuel and Clarice Whitmore, and Joe Martinez, son of Jose and Petra Martinez.
Carrying the crown was Ava Berger, daughter of Mike and Kim Berger. Carrying the King’s trophy was Easton Prince, son of Nathan and Paige Prince. Carrying the queen’s bouquet was Monroe Smith, daughter of Budd and Rea Smith.
Next came king candidate Will Danenhauer, son of Chris and Audrea Danenhauer, escorted by Makayla Grant, daughter of James and Marcella Grant; king candidate Derrick Ebers, son of Cathy Ebers and Jason Shelton, escorted by Camryn Journagan, daughter of John and Stacie Journagan; king candidate Pedro England, son of Karen England, escorted by Madison Parsley, daughter of Tony Parsley and Shelly Parsley; and king candidate Javan Jowers, son of Nathan and Pam Jowers, escorted by Ella Wilson, daughter of Martha Wilson.
Last in the parade of royalty were the queen candidates, including queen candidate Paige Devecsery, daughter of Daniel and Jenny Devecsery, escorted by Mason Downs, son of Greg and Rachel Downs, and Cody Parrish, son of Chad and Amber Parrish; queen candidate Trinity Gonzales, daughter of Bill and Sarah Phelan, and Mike and Terra Gonzales, escorted by Jacob Gray, son of Mike and Karen Gray, and by Xavier Staten, son of Eric Staten and Misty Hawkins; queen candidate Delaney Jones, daughter of George and Sherry Mathews, and Bryan and Stacy Jones, escorted by Cade Killion, son of Jason Killion, and by Trey Waggle, son of Josh and Kelley Waggle; queen candidate Bailee King, daughter of Andy and Lee King, escorted by Peyton Maxwell, son of Bill and Heather Maxwell, and by Tony Mayo II, son of Tony Mayo I and LaDonna Mayo; and queen candidate Destiny Segur, daughter of William and Amber Segur, escorted by Skyler Montez, son of Tony Montez and Jessie Winkelman, and by Jackson McKinley, son of Kevin and Julie McKinley.
The 2017 Color’s Day queen, Claudia Oxford, daughter of Jeff and Ree Oxford, presented the King’s trophy to Javan Jowers; and student council president Cody Parrish crowned Bailee King as 2018 Queen.
