Webb Is All-State For Lincoln Softball

LINCOLN — Lincoln 2018 graduate Hollie Webb was an All-State selection for her senior season in softball.

Hollie Webb appeared in 25 softball games, batting .342 as leadoff hitter with 97 plate appearance­s. She pounded out 25 hits in 73 at-bats, scoring 30 runs with 11 runs batted in and 3 doubles. She took 24 free bases-on-balls against 7 strike-outs accumulati­ng an on-base percentage of .505 and a slugging percentage of .383. Hollie contribute­d 19 stolen bases tying for the team lead with younger sister, Kinley Webb.

Hollie Webb was one of four Lincoln athletes with three on the buddy system signing national letters of intent to play college softball on Wednesday, May 9, in the Lincoln High School library.

Hollie Webb, who played third base; along with classmates: shortstop Jada Corbit, outfielder Katie Lankford, and outfielder Madison Jone, who signed with Ecclesia College of Springdale, will continue their careers in college.

Hollie Webb committed to play college softball for Henderson State University, at Arkadelphi­a. Hollie Webb, who played three sports (basketball, softball and volleyball) her senior year along with her sophomore sister, Kinley Webb, is the daughter of Colburn and Jessica Webb.

Going into college, Hollie Webb will pursue a major in Biology, and wants to become a physical therapist. During her high school career at Lincoln Hollie Webb was named All-Conference three times, and All-Conference honorable mention as a freshmen. She was invited to play softball for Legends 99 softball where she played for three years, receiving Offensive Player of the Year her junior year. She was an Offensive MVP once for the legends, and also for the Lady Wolves. Hollie Webb maintained 3.8 GPA throughout high school, and is very excited to take her education, and softball to the next level.
