Rodney Lee York

Rodney Lee York, 80, of Farmington, Ark., passed away Sunday, Sept. 9, 2018, in Fayetteville, Ark.

He was born July 23, 1938, in Des Moines, Iowa, to Leonard and

Phyllis Hart

York. He was a proud veteran having served in the U.S. Army. He was retired after 30 years with R.J. Reynolds. He was past treasurer of the American Legion. He enjoyed antique cars, was a NASCAR fan and enjoyed fishing.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

He is survived by his wife, Glenna Ross York of the home; three sons, Gary Morrison and wife, Marta of Lowell, Ark., Larry Morrison and wife, Tammy of Hardeeville, S.C. and Randy Morrison and wife, Chris of Fayetteville; two daughters, Brenda Flannery of Springdale, Ark. and Vicky Sikes and her husband, Jerry of Owasso, Okla.; a brother, Loran York and wife, Karen and their children, Lori, Jodi and Bryan of Yukon, Okla.; six grandchildren, Ryan, Shelby, Holly, Nicolas, Natalia, Russell and Jeremy; and one great-grandchild, Abby.

Funeral services were held Thursday, Sept. 13, 2018, at Beard’s Chapel. Interment followed in the Fayetteville National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Lung Association, www.lung.org.
