Farmington Colors Day
FARMINGTON —A pair of Farmington seniors were ushered into the spotlight crowned as royalty with the school celebrating Colors Day Friday.
Selected as Colors Day queen was Jessa Taylor, daughter of Brett and Christy Taylor, while Color’s Day king honors went to Evan Ork, son of Andy Ork and Brandi Ork.
Announcer Brian Dean acknowledged coach Frankie Ball and the dance team for sponsoring the theme and decorations.
The sophomore, junior and senior classes were represented in the Color’s Day court.
Sophomore maid Sagely Houghland, daughter of Chuck and Lexy Houghland, escorted by Decory Thomas, son of Leon and Falon Thomas. Sophomore maid Rebekah Williams, daughter of Paul and Melisa Williams, escorted by Tyler Vollmer, son of Bart and Kerri Vollmer.
Junior maid Ella Silvis, daughter of Todd and Aimee Silvis, escorted by Logan Landwehr, son of J. R. Landwehr and Joyce Fletcher. Junior maid Siana Sisemore, daughter of John and Lori Sisemore, escorted by James Payne, son of Michael and Melissa Payne. Junior maid Keely Stout, daughter of Jason Stout and Brandi Moore, escorted by Austin Shelley, son of John and Melissa Shelley.
Marqwaveon Watson, son of Crystal London, escorted the attendants: carrying the Crown was Paige Bailey, daughter of Chad and Misty Bailey; and carrying the King’s trophy was Miller Mahan, son of Matt and Mindy Mahan.
There were four king candidates: Jacob Freeman, son of Clay and Angela Freeman, escorted by Katelyn Cunningham, daughter of Ryan Cunningham and Alanna Cunningham; Johnan Mitchell, son of Jarred and Jennifer Mitchell, escorted by Amelia Fuqua, daughter of Alisha Smith; Evan Ork, son of Andy Ork and Brandi Ork, escorted by Madisyn Pense, daughter of Jason Pense and Cindy Eaton; and Seth Swain, son of Brian and Jovie Swain, escorted by Alexis Roach, daughter of Jacob and Audrey Roach.
There were four queen candidates: Eliza Ball, daughter of Pete and Frankie Ball, escorted by Tony Mayo, son of Tony Mayo and Ladonna Mayo; and Danny Valenzuela, son of Danny and Tracy Valenzuela; Anthea Jones, daughter of Mike and Nanni Jones, escorted by Jackson McKinley, son of Kevin and Julie McKinley; and Jayden Whitmore, son of Manuel and Clarice Whitmore; Jessa Taylor, daughter of Brett and Christy Taylor, escorted by Jaylen Montez, son of Raymond Montez and Rebecca Callahan; and Noah Dishersoon, son of Tim and Rebekah Disheroon; and Alyssa Reed, daughter of Rick and Samantha Reed, escorted by Will Pridmore, son of Stephen and Amy Pridmore; and Riley Funk, son of Corey and Robby Funk.
Presenting the trophy to the King was 2018 Colors Day Queen, Bailee King, daughter of Andy and Lee King.
Crowning the Queen was Farmington High School student council president Phillip Partain, son of Joe and Dana Partain.
