Charles Richard Yates, 59, of Van Buren, Ark., died Saturday, Feb. 16, 2019, at his home.

He was born Dec. 19, 1959, in Odessa, Texas, the son of Gilford Bailey and Louella (Simpson) Yates. He was a member of the Little Elm Baptist Church in Farmington, Ark.

He was preceded in death by his father, Gilford Yates; one sister, Deloris Yates Cochran; maternal grandparen­ts, James and Margaret Simpson; and paternal grandparen­ts, Giles and Ethel Yates.

Survivors include his wife, Beverly Yates; his daughter, Whitney Yates Dinsmore of Van Buren; his stepson, Blake McKinnon of Van Buren; his mother, Louella Simpson Yates of Fayettevil­le, Ark.; three siblings, Doyle Yates and wife Dawn of Springdale, Ark., Diane Yates Schindler of Oklahoma City, Okla., and Marshall Yates and wife Bobbie of Fayettevil­le; two grandchild­ren, Bentley and Presley Dinsmore.

Funeral service was held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 19, 2019, at Little Elm Baptist Church. Burial was in the Farmington Cemetery with no graveside service.

Pallbearer­s were Blake McKinnon, Doyle Yates, Marshall Yates, Larry Broyles, Marshall Yates Jr. and Eddie McNeal.
