Margie Faye Combs (lovingly called “Bordie” by her family), 87, of Fayettevil­le, Ark., passed away Friday, July 3, 2020, in Fayettevil­le.

She was born Dec. 5, 1932, in Japton, Ark., to Carl and Iva Elizabeth Haskins Williams. She was raised in Ball Creek, Ark. She was one of six children. She was a member of Hill Street Church of Christ. She was very creative and loved to do her arts and crafts — she was always painting! She also had an amazing yard full of beautiful flowers and shrubbery and was proud to show everyone who visited her home.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Sharon Lee Glenn of Prairie Grove (married to Darrell Glenn); and brothers, S.R. Williams, Ray Williams and Curtis Williams.

She is survived by a son, Stephen Wayne Combs (Donna) of Farmington; a daughter, Karen Faye Baker ( Rex) of Elkins, Ark.; a brother, Harold Williams of Crosses, Ark.; a sister, Alto Jo Mounce of Delaney, Ark.; six grandchild­ren; and 11 great-grandchild­ren.

Funeral services were held July 7, 2020, at Beard’s Chapel with the Rev. Danny Williams officiatin­g. Interment followed in Ledbetter Cemetery in Madison County under the direction of Beard’s Chapel.

The family would like to sincerely thank the staff at Willard Walker Hospice for the care and attention they showed Bordie.
