Chad Wesley Dorman
Chad Wesley Dorman, 49, of Wylie, Texas, passed away on Aug. 4, 2020, as a result of stage 4 cancer.
He was delivered by Dr. John W. Dorman, his grandfather, on Jan. 15, 1971, in Springdale, Ark., to Carl W. Dorman and Gail Rollins Dorman. He married Shelena Rene Gause Dorman on June 6, 2004. He received a Bachelor of Arts in criminal justice from the University of Arkansas, Fayetteville. After retiring from law enforcement, he joined Watch-Guard/ MSI and became Tier I Team Lead. He was there until the date of his passing.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Dr. John W. and Susan Dorman, and John W. “Bill” Rollins.
He is survived by his parents, Carl and Gail Dorman; his wife, Shelena Dorman; his sons, Carson Mitchell Gause and Cayden Mychal Dorman; his grandmother, Ruby Jo Rollins; and his sisters, Cherish Dorman and Casey Dorman Lawson (Lynn).
He will be buried at Bluff Cemetery in Springdale, Ark.
Ari Lorraine Hankins
Ari Lorraine Hankins, 16, of Fayetteville, Ark., passed away Friday, July 31, 2020, at Arkansas Children’s Hospital in Little Rock, Ark.
She was born April 30, 2004, in Fayetteville, the daughter of Mason Hankins and Heather McCarver.
She was preceded in death by her grandfather, Larry Hankins.
She is survived by her father, Mason Hankins; her mother, Heather McCarver; two brothers, Ethan Hankins and Jackob Hankins; one sister, Jasmine Hankins; her grandparents, Deanna Brazeal, Michael Stevens, and Brenda Thompson and her husband Don.
Funeral service was held at 10 a. m. Saturday, Aug. 8, 2020, at the Farmington Cemetery Pavilion in Farmington, Ark.

Bernice G. Harner
Bernice G. Harner, 94, passed away on Tuesday, Aug. 4, 2020, at Washington Regional Medical Center in Fayetteville, Ark.
She was born Oct. 22, 1925, in Clinton, Ark., to Lawrence and Adelaide (Evans) House. She was an owner and the manager of Dickson Street Liquor Store for more than 30 years. She impacted many lives in the decades that she was a part of the Dickson Street district and Fayetteville community. She spent her early retirement years preparing and serving meals to those in need through an outreach program at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church in Fayetteville. She was a lifelong collector of fine antiques and art, and an avid gardener who was known for the beautiful flowers she grew.
As a young girl during World War II she traveled with her family from Arkansas to California to find work, and became what is endearingly referred to as a Rosie the Riveter when she became a welder of the Liberty War Ships.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Dr. David Harner; brothers, Leo and Bill House; and sisters, Marie Wilson, Virgie Davenport and Elizabeth Ashworth.
She is survived by daughter, Nancy Porter and husband Rickie of Fayetteville; son, Tony Latrecchia, who resides in Oklahoma; grandsons, Jason Porter and wife Aimee, Jared Porter and wife Nadia and Jacob Porter and wife Megan; great-grandchildren, Jason Porter Jr., Jaxon Porter, Jaron Porter and Paislee Porter, who all loved their Nanny B and she loved them; and numerous loving nieces and nephews who all adored their Aunt Bernice.
A private family funeral service will be held at Nelson- Berna Funeral Home in Fayetteville with interment at Fairview Memorial Gardens. Contributions to the Autism Society of America would be appreciated.

Mary Lynn Hussell
Mary Lynn Hussell, 80, of Prairie Grove, Ark., passed away after a brief illness, Sunday, Aug. 9, 2020, at Washington Regional Medical Center in Fayetteville, Ark.
She was born Sept. 1, 1939, in Fort Smith, Ark., the daughter of Leonard and Rachel (Geiger) Maxey. She lived and worked in Washington, D. C., and Virginia as a legal assistant until her retirement in 1993. After her husband Boone retired in 1994 they moved to Prairie Grove. She volunteered for various organizations including the school, library, Life Ministries and was the coordinator of the local polling site. She also enjoyed playing bridge in the local bridge club and reading.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Billy Maxey.
Survivors include her husband of 62 years, Boone Hussell of Prairie Grove; one sister, Eugenia “Binky” Maxey of Prairie Grove; and her cousin, Joe Geiger, of Prairie Grove.
Memorial service will be held 10 a. m. Friday, Aug. 14, 2020, at Prairie Grove Cemetery Pavilion.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Billy Maxey Memorial Fund at any Arvest Bank.

Dorthy Ann Beeks Jacoby
Dorthy Ann Beeks Jacoby, 68, of Fayetteville, Ark., passed away Sunday, Aug. 9, 2020, at her home.
She was born Jan. 12, 1952, at the City Hospital in Fayetteville, the daughter of Marvin Alwilty and Bonnie (Cox) Beeks. She retired in 2018 as a Registered Nurse in West Texas.
She loved to fish, play card games, woodworking and yardwork.
She was p receded in death by her father, Marvin Beeks; her husband, Walter Jacoby; and one sister-in-law, Inice Beeks.
Survivors include her mother, Bonnie Cox Beeks; one sister, Emma Owen and her husband Burl Owen of Lowell, Ark.; two brothers, Duane Beeks and his wife Ruthie, and Preston Beeks and his wife Nancy, all of Fayetteville; numerous nieces and nephews; honorary family members, Linda Gribble and Deanna Chaney and their families; and her beloved dog, Pete.
Funeral service will be held at 9:30 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 13, 2020, at Rose Cemetery in Prairie Grove, Ark.

Deed Cleveland Thurman III
Deed Cleveland Thurman III, 66, died Monday, Aug. 3, 2020, at University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences due to complications from covid-19.
He was born Sept. 11, 1953. He was a kind, imaginative, and thoughtful person. He drew, sculpted, and made mechanical toys and creatures. He was happiest when making others happier, making people laugh, or giving them things. He was very generous and would give away seemingly anything if someone else needed it.
He is survived by his sister, Phyllis Thurman Shaw; brother-in-law, Mark Shaw; and two nieces, Stephanie Shaw and Jillian Shaw. He will be missed by his family and friends.
