Jane Robinson

Jane Robinson, 74, of Oxford, Kan., formerly of Gravette, died Saturday, July 16, 2016, at her home.

She was born Oct. 11, 1941, to Tracy and Leona (Holowell) Gogley. She was a 1960 graduate of Bolsa Grande (Calif.) High School. She was united in marriage with Doy Robinson on Jan. 30, 1961. She was a homemaker and also worked for the city of Gravette and the school cafeterias in Conway Springs and Wellington, Kan. She enjoyed plants and gardening and dearly loved her children, grandchild­ren and great-grandchild­ren.

Survivors include her husband, Doy Robinson of the home; two sons, Rick Robinson and wife Teri of Osceola, Iowa, and Mike Robinson and wife Laura of Rose Hill, Kan.; two daughters, Debbie Meek and husband Steve of Bella Vista, and Denise Zamoyoa and husband Abraham of Gravette; one sister, Ann Duncan and husband Bob of Amarillo, Texas; and one brother, Bob Gogley and wife Nellie of Hesperia, Calif.; 17 grandchild­ren; and seven great-grandchild­ren.

Graveside services were July 20 at the Oxford Cemetery. Arrangemen­ts were by Oxford Funeral Service.

John Richard Meade

John Richard Meade, 89, of Gravette, died Wednesday, July 20, 2016, in Gravette.

He was born April 13, 1927, to Richard and Dot McAllister Meade. He was raised in Gravette and graduated from high school in April of 1945. At that time he enlisted in the Navy and saw service in the Philippine­s and Okinawa. He was discharged in October, 1946, at which time he enrolled in the University of Arkansas under the GI Bill and graduated in June, 1950. In March 1951, he married Frances Tally, his wife of 61 years. He was employed by the Bank of Gravett as an officer trainee. He served in the bank until he retired in August, 2004, as president and chairman of the board of directors after 54 years of service. He remained on the board until 2014.

John was preceded in death by his wife, Frances.

He is survived by his children, Patricia Meade Waggoner and Rex of Rogers, and William (Bill) Meade and Brenda of Gravette; grandchild­ren, Rex Waggoner and Casey of New York City, N.Y., Neal Waggoner and Amy of Little Rock, Bethany Meade Muir and Doug of Whitefish, Mont., Adam Meade and Ashli of Cabot, Ark.; and great granddaugh­ters, Kate and Avery Waggoner of Little Rock, Ark.

John has always been active in the affairs of Gravette, having served as president of the Lions Club and Chamber of Commerce and as a member of the Volunteer Fire Department, American Legion, Board of Gravette Medical Center and Gravette School Board. He also served on the Board of Narti in Springdale.

John enjoyed tennis, fishing, Razorback sports and carrying chains for Gravette High School football team. He loved his community, the Methodist Church and most of all his friends and family.

Funeral services were held on Monday, July 25, 2016, at Heritage Baptist Church in Gravette. Burial was in the Hillcrest Cemetery in Gravette.

Virginia ‘Ginni’ Lea Wilson Perryman

Virginia “Ginni” Lea Wilson Perryman, 69, died July 22, 2016, at Mercy Hospital after an extended illness.

She is survived by her husband, Curtis Wayne Perryman, and three sons, Lonny Wilson, Danny Wilson and Cody Wilson.

A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m., Saturday, July 30, at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 10909 Arkansas Hwy. 59, Gravette. Arrangemen­ts are by Stockdale-Moody Funeral Services in Rogers.
