Pitbull owners, beware

-

Editor,

I am very concerned about the theft of many pit bulls in Decatur, two of which were my family’s pets. I am reaching out to every avenue possible to make that area aware of the problem.

I think it’s obvious why pit bulls would be targeted, and I have been reaching out to all area law-enforcement agencies to make them aware of the possibility of dog fighting and gambling. This prob- lem won’t go away; it has to be taken away.

Please notify the public that they should guard their dog.

My daughter and her husband live in Decatur. My female pit bull and their male pit bull were stolen from their neighborhood, as well as the next door neighbor’s pit bull, on the same day.

Thank you for your interest in this matter.
