Harold Ray Brashear

Harold “Ray” Brashear, 68, of Colcord, Okla., died Aug. 13, 2016, at Concordia Health and Rehab in Bella Vista.

He was born March 5, 1948, to Ray L. Brashear and Ida Bell Lee. He was an Army veteran of the Vietnam War. He worked as a fleet manager for a trucking company for many years.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Ray and Ida Bell Brashear.

He is survived by two sisters, Barbara Payton of Gravette, and Marilyn Smith of Jefferson City, Mo.

A memorial graveside service is planned for 10 a.m., Saturday, Aug. 20, at Kansas Cemetery, Kansas, Okla., with David Palle and Todd Smith officiatin­g. Arrangemen­ts are by Wasson Funeral Home in Siloam Springs.

Jo Ann Chesney

Jo Ann Chesney, 75, of Colcord, Okla., died Aug. 12, 2016, at Quail Ridge Living Center in West Siloam Springs, Okla.

She was born July 3, 1941, in San Bernardino, Calif., to Roy McReynolds and Emma (Pearson) McReynolds. Her family moved from California to Siloam Springs in 1949. She married Melvin Bert Chesney on May 15, 1963, in Siloam Springs. She was a member of Faith Baptist Church in Colcord.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and her husband, Melvin Chesney.

She is survived by two sons, Conley Chesney and wife Janet, and Bryan Chesney and wife Tonya, all of Colcord; four grandchild­ren, Wade Chesney and wife Keisha of Colcord, Erica Branham and husband Roger of Bentonvill­e, Bailey Long of Colcord; and Casey Long of Colcord; and two greatgrand­children, Aubree and Waylon Chesney.

Funeral services were at 10 a.m., Tuesday, August 16, at Wasson Funeral Home, Siloam Springs, with Lowell Wood and Larry Ellis officiatin­g. Arrangemen­ts were by Wasson Funeral Home, Siloam Springs.

Troy Lee Dill

Troy Lee Dill, 56, of Decatur, died Aug. 12, 2016, at his home.

He was born March 15, 1960, in Gravette, to Bobbie Dill and Lovella (Hecht) Dill. His parents died at an early age and he was raised by his paternal grandmothe­r, Lena Rose. Troy lived his whole life in the northwest Arkansas area. He worked around the community as a laborer. Troy attended Decatur Sale Barn Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents; twin brothers; and his grandmothe­r, Lena Rose.

He is survived by one son, Aaron Dill and wife Tia of Jay, Okla.; two grandchild­ren, Tristan Dill and Peyton Dill; and one sister, Jennifer Dill of Claremore, Okla.

Memorial services will be at 10 a.m., Friday, Aug. 19, at Decatur Sale Barn Church with Terry Horton officiatin­g. Arrangemen­ts are by Wasson Funeral Home, Siloam Springs.

Eugene Allen Dugan

Eugene Allen Dugan, 79, of Siloam Springs, died Aug. 11, 2016, at Circle of Life Hospice in Springdale.

He was born July 30, 1937, in Martins Ferry, Ohio, to George Dugan and Florene Harris Dugan. He was a supervisor with Continenta­l Baking Company. He married Rina Cilio on Dec. 23, 1971, in California. He was a member of the Seventh-day Adventist Church in Gentry.

He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Florene Dugan; two children, Shelli Dugan and Kathy Dugan; and two sisters.

He is survived by his wife, Rina Dugan of the home; two children, Timothy Dugan and Kelli Dugan; two stepchildr­en, Elsie Arredondo and Nelson Cysneros; eight grandchild­ren; and four great-grandchild­ren.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m., Thursday, Aug. 18, at Wasson Funeral Home, Siloam Springs, with Wagner Cilio and Werner Gil officiatin­g. Burial will follow at Gentry Cemetery. Arrangemen­ts were by Wasson Funeral Home, Siloam Springs.

Lowess Lavina Jasper

Lowess Lavina Jasper, 89, of Gravette, died Friday, Aug. 12, 2016, at her home in Gravette.

She was born Nov. 14, 1926, in Decatur, to John William and Eva Lillian McConnell Peterson . She worked many years at Gravette Manor Nursing Home as medical records clerk and as a nurse at Peterson’s Processing in Decatur. She enjoyed growing flowers, crafts and painting. At the age of 82, she returned to college to study art.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Earl M. Jasper; one son, Jay Mac Jasper; and her parents.

Survivors include one son, Virgil Jasper and wife Tina of Gravette; and one sister, Roberta Lee Peterson Hopkins of Gentry.

Funeral services were held Monday, Aug. 15, at Bethlehem Missionary Baptist Church in Centerton, with Jheri Roberts and Larry Hendren officiatin­g. Burial followed in Hillcrest Cemetery in Gravette. Arrangemen­ts were by Sisco Funeral Home of Springdale.

Clay Alexander McDaniel

Clay Alexander McDaniel, infant son of Jacob McDaniel and Britanna Lay, died Aug. 12, 2016, at Siloam Springs Regional Hospital, Siloam Springs.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparen­ts, Bobby and Wendy Lay.

He is survived by his parents, Jacob McDaniel and Britanna Lay; his paternal grandparen­ts, Cari and Bryan Lewis of Siloam Springs and retired SSG Michael and Kristen McDaniel of Newport News, Va.; his maternal great-grandmothe­rs, Shirley Lankford of Siloam Springs and Helen Laden of Southwest City, Mo.; and his paternal greatgrand­parents, Debbie and Mickey Gilreath, and Linda and Tony McDaniel, all of Van Buren.

Funeral services were held Tuesday, Aug. 16, at Wasson Funeral Home, Siloam Springs, with Terry Eaves officiatin­g. Burial followed at Wedington Cemetery, Wedington. Arrangemen­ts were by Wasson Funeral Home, Siloam Springs.

Sherry Renee Olson

Sherry Renee Olson, 51, of Gentry, died Aug. 9, 2016, at Northwest Medical Center in Bentonvill­e.

She was born June 1, 1965, in Long Beach, Calif., to Terry Olson and Joanne Sovring Olson. She lived in Gentry for the last year and lived in Arkansas for the last five years. She was of the Lutheran faith.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Terry and Joanne Olson.

She is survived by one son, Jared Olson of Gentry; one daughter, Andrea Bossolono of Milpitas, Calif.; two grandchild­ren; and one sister, Julie Olson of Paris, Calif.

No services are planned at this time. Arrangemen­ts were by Wasson Funeral Home, Siloam Springs.

Garvin Gene Reid

Garvin Gene Reid, age 65, of Clinton, formerly of Marshall, Arkansas, returned to his heavenly home on Thursday, August 11, 2016, at Ozark Health Nursing Center in Clinton. He was born in Marshall on May 19, 1951, to the late Joe Dolphus Reid and Betty Lois (Ragland) Reid.

In 1968, Garvin Gene married Betty Jo Middleton. From this union were born four beloved children. In 1993, he married the love of his life, Ila Elaine Carter and was honored with a stepson. Garvin was a great man of God, a loving husband, father, brother and friend.

He is survived by his loving wife Ila, five children, son Jerry and wife Shelly, daughter Jodie, daughter Misty and husband Lance, daughter Kristy and husband Clea, and stepson Lyle Hughey, all of Northwest Arkansas; 13 grandchild­ren, Amber, Quinton, Brennon, Ashlyn, Halle Grace, Chance, Zack, Amanda, Connie, Luke, Halle Nicole, Haley and Blaine; two greatgrand­children, Gabriella and Ainsley; two brothers, Jerry Reid and his wife Phyllis of Hot Springs, and Donnie Reid of Jonesboro. Garvin was preceded in death by his mother and father; five sisters, Betty Sue, Patsy, Harvelene, Robbie, Vera Rose; and three brothers, Bobbie Ray, RC and Billy Joe.

Funeral services for Garvin were held at 10 a.m. Monday, August 15, 2016, at Roller-Coffman Funeral Home in Marshall, Arkansas, with Bro. Wesley Watts and Bro. Steve Jones officiatin­g. Visitation was 6-8 p.m. Sunday, August 14, 2016, in the Chapel. Burial was at 5 p.m. Monday, August 15, 2016, in Highfill Cemetery located in Highfill, Arkansas.
