Virgil ‘Buddy’ Dean Burgess

Virgil “Buddy” Dean Burgess, 65, of Siloam Springs, died Dec. 3, 2016, in Fayettevil­le.

He was born Sept. 28, 1951, in Siloam Springs, to Luther Burgess and Mildred McClary Burgess. He married Grace Church Sept. 21, 1974, in West Siloam Springs, Okla. He was an Army veteran of the Vietnam War. He was a registered minister in Arkansas and Oklahoma. He worked for ITI Telephone Company and in procuremen­t for Cobb-Vantress.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one granddaugh­ter; and two sisters.

He is survived by his wife, Grace; five children, Buddy Burgess and wife Shauna of Summers, Monica Burgess of Fayettevil­le, Chad Collins of Plano, Texas, Ericka Burgess of Stilwell, Okla., Carol Partridge of Prairie Grove; 13 grandchild­ren; one great-granddaugh­ter; one sister, Pam Beachamp of Colcord, Okla.; and one brother, Jim McClelland of Siloam Springs.

Funeral service was Tuesday, Dec. 6, at Wasson Funeral Home, Siloam Springs, with Elvin Still officiatin­g. Burial followed at Springtown Cemetery, Springtown.

Ronald David Lisle Sr.

Ronald David Lisle, Sr., 68, of Gravette, died Thursday, Nov. 24, 2016, at Mercy Hospital in Rogers.

He was a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church in Rogers.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, John; and one great-granddaugh­ter, Blazen.

He is survived by his wife, Denise, of the home; 10 children, Ronald, Jr., Patricia, Sheryl, Elizabeth, Steven, Jeffrey, Jack, Beth, Catina and Michael; four siblings, Dwight, Homer, Oscar and Paula; eight grandchild­ren; and eight great-grandchild­ren.

A memorial service was held Saturday, Dec. 3, 2016, at Emmanuel Baptist Church in Rogers, with arrangemen­ts by Benton County Memorial Park Funeral Home.

Valia Jane Norton

Valia Jane Norton, 82, of Gentry, died Nov. 14, 2016, in Gravette.

She was born March 11, 1934, in Lexington, Mo., to Ben and Dovie May Willard.

She is survived by her children, Charles Robertson, Jerry Robertson, Pansy Adams, Janet Fields; her siblings, Leanna, Darlene and Alice; several grandchild­ren and greatgrand­children.

Memorial service was at 11 a.m. Monday, Dec. 5, at the First Christian Church, Gentry. Arrangemen­ts were by Benton County Funeral Home, Rogers.
