OBITUARIES
Linda Staats
Linda Staats, 69, of Bentonville, AR, passed away Saturday, March 4, 2017, from leukemia. Linda (Susie) was born May 4, 1947, in Bentonville to Clyde and Lena (Sherman) Evans.
She married Robert Staats February 7, 1965. Linda was a 1965 graduate of Bentonville High School.
Linda was preceded in death by her Daddy, Clyde Evans; her paternal grandparents, Ed and Laura Creek; maternal grandparents, Sam and Ida May Sherman.
Survivors include husband, Robert; two daughters, Sherri (Chad) Tullis of Bentonville and Julie Allen of Branson, Missouri; a son, Ted (Cassie) Staats of Bentonville; seven grandchildren, Natalie and Michael Tullis, Nia and Nash Allen, Madi Juarez, Molly and Cash Staats; her mother, Lena Evans of Bentonville; sister, Jeannie (Bruce) Bowen of Rogers; a very special cousin, Laura ( James) Cooper of Bentonville and a host of relatives and friends.
Always saying she had the best job in the world, she was most proud to be a wife, a mom and a grandmother.
Growing up Linda’s Daddy and Mama always told her she could be anything she wanted to be and have anything she wanted if she just wanted it enough and worked hard enough to get it. That statement, combined with inspiration from her Mama and the spunk and feistiness she inherited from her Granny Creek and Aunt Vena Clemons, made her live her life to the fullest … never thinking it could not be done.
