GENTRY — With multicolored eggs scattered across the ground in designated areas at Gentry City Park, it was hard for the smaller children to wait until the egg hunt officially began on Saturday afternoon in the Gentry park. But then the countdown came — 10, 9, 8… — and when zero was announced, children (some with the help of parents) scrambled to pick up eggs in the hope that one of the eggs would be a winner.

Almost as quickly as it began, the eggs were gathered and the prizes distributed to the children, with prizes available to everyone.

Four lucky children found the one egg in their age category which made them a bicycle winner. Bicycles were donated to the Chamber of Commerce by Arvest Bank, C&J Liquors, Harps Foods and Grand Savings Bank. The bicycles were won by Hayden Hamm, 16 months; Juliet Smartt, 5; Ellie Flanders, 7; and C.J. Bolinger, 9.

A variety of games and activities were also available to children following the egg hunt, including photo op- portunities with the Easter bunny, face painting, fishing for prizes, bean-bag toss and more.

Helping the Chamber of Commerce were honor students from Gentry High School and members of the Outdoor Adventures 4-H club.
