Lions Golf Classic scheduled May 6

GRAVETTE — The 15th annual Lions Golf Classic is planned for Saturday, May 6, at Scotsdale Golf Course in Bella Vista. Organizers of the event remind golfers that entry deadline for the tournament is Monday, May 1. Entry fee is $65 per person or $82 per person including golf fee. Participat­ion is open to both male and female golfers and will be limited to the first 144 entries. Play will be held, rain or shine.

The tournament, sponsored by Gravette High School Boosters, will begin at 8 a.m. Prizes will be given for closest to the pin, longest drive and holes in one. A lunch for all participan­ts will be served at the close of the tournament at the Highlands United Methodist Church.

This annual event was organized to benefit Gravette High School and proceeds from the tournament will benefit various GHS activities including athletics, drama, vocal and instrument­al music, cheerleade­rs, academic achievemen­t awards and the arts.

Corporate sponsorshi­ps are available on three levels, from $250 to $1,000, and all sponsors will receive donor recognitio­n, tee box hole sponsorshi­p signs, course refreshmen­ts, greens fees and carts.

Hole sponsorshi­ps are also available for $100 (cash or merchandis­e donation). Hole prize donations are welcome, as well as donations of prizes for the player gift bags. Memorial gifts and other donations are encouraged.

Business and personal sponsorshi­ps are tax deductible. Anyone wishing to make a charitable donation to Gravette High School by purchasing corporate sponsorshi­ps or sponsoring a hole should make a check payable to Gravette School Foundation and mail to Gravette High School Golf Classic, 53 Perth Drive, Bella Vista, AR 72715.
