Cool Water Music Fest set this weekend near Gravette

GRAVETTE — Several big-time musical groups, some with local ties, are slated to perform this weekend at the Cool Water Music Fest in Gravette. The event is planned for Friday and Saturday, Sept. 8 and 9, at the Lykins farm, 11506 N. Highway 59, on the banks of Spavinaw Creek south of town. It will feature 15 artists from several states, including Arkansas, Oklahoma, Texas, Tennessee and Kentucky. Musicians will perform on two stages, the Grand Savings Bank Main Stage and the Sunbelt Rentals Secondary Stage.

Friday’s show will begin at 4 p.m., and Saturday events will kick off with a karaoke contest at 11:30 a.m. on the main stage. There is no charge to enter the karaoke contest, which features a $300 cash prize and tickets to next year’s festival.

The weekend event will feature children’s inflatable­s, a bar, camping and swimming in the creek. Food vendors and merchandis­e vendors will be set up on the grounds. Event T-shirts designed by A One Graphics in Siloam Springs are being sold.

Campers may bring tents, self-contained RVs and campers. Camping is $20 per camping spot and is by advance reservatio­n only. General parking is free with VIP parking near the stage

area for a $10 fee.

Two-day tickets for the event are on sale for $50 in advance or $60 at the gate and single-day tickets for $30 in advance and $35 at the gate. Tickets can be purchased online at coolwaterm­usicfest.com/tickets.

The lineup of artists scheduled to perform is as follows:

■ Friday — 4 p.m., Southern Sirens; 4:55 p.m., Wesley Michael Hayes; 5:50 p.m., Jericho Woods; 6:30 p.m., Read Southall; 7:30 p.m., Jericho Woods; 8:10 p.m., Micky and the Motorcars; 9:30 p.m., Brandon Jenkins; 10:30 p.m., Reckless Kelly.

■ Saturday — 11:30 a.m., Karaoke contest; 1 p.m., Frisco Cemetary; 1:50 p.m., Johnny Dale Roberts; 3 p.m., Southern Sirens; 3:55 p.m., River’s Edge Band; 4:50 p.m., Mountain Sprout; 6 p.m., Jericho Woods; 6:55 p.m., The Dirty River Boys; 8:05 p.m., JB & the Moonshine Band; 9:15 p.m., Zane Williams; and 10:30 p.m., Chris Knight.
