Jone Arlene Bohl

Jone Arlene Bohl, 84, of Hiwasse, died Oct. 7, 2017, at Ozarks Community Hospital.

She was born Jan. 22, 1933, to Ralph and Myrtis Hagee in El Paso, Texas. She lived in northwest Arkansas most of her adult life. She was a nurse for 33 years, most of that time at Bates Memorial Hospital. She retired from Mercy Hospital at the age of 76. She enjoyed riding horses until she was 79.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Eric Howard Bohl, in 1973; her parents; and three brothers.

She is survived by two sons, Carl Bohl of Hiwasse; Tim (Emmy) Bohl of Bentonvill­e; six daughters, Dawn Bohl and Nina Pierre of Hiwasse, Lynette (Robert) Schmitt of Grants, N.M., Grace (Kenneth) Ewalt of Poughkeeps­ie, N.Y., Tamara Harris of Wichita Falls, Texas, and Kathleen (Gene) Clay of Garfield; two brothers, Doug (Debbie) Hagee of Yellville, Neale Hagee of Rogers; sister-in-law, Catherine Bohl Bitner of Hacienda Heights, Calif.; 17 grandchild­ren; and 30 great-grandchild­ren.

Memorial services will be at 2 p.m., Thursday, Oct. 12, at Mountain Bible Church, Washburn, Mo., with James Duncan and Kenneth Derek Ewalt Jr. officiatin­g.

Arrangemen­ts are by Bella Vista Funeral Home and Crematory, Bella Vista.

Sandy Cowick Marquier

Sandy Cowick Marquier, 62, of Gravette, died Oct. 6, 2017, at Mercy Hospital in Rogers.

She was born on April 12, 1955, in Gravette, to Imalee and Leo Cowick. Sandy graduated from Gravette High School in 1973.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

She is survived by her brothers, Gary Cowick “Georgana” of Grand Prairie, Texas, Kenneth Cowick of Gravette, Mike Cowick “Lynn” of Gravette; and a sister, Mary Colville “Virgil” of Gravette.

No services are planned at this time. Arrangemen­ts are by Bella Vista Funeral Home and Crematory.

Clarence A. Miller August 26, 1943 to October 5, 2017

Clarence A. Miller, 74, of Gentry, Arkansas, died October 5, 2017, in Fayettevil­le. He was born August 26, 1943, at Arthur, Illinois, the son of Ammon A. Miller and Mattie N. Yoder Miller, where he was raised Amish until his family moved to Arkansas in 1957. He was a dairy farmer for 55 years, a brick mason, feed store manager and hay hauler. He was a member of the Church of God in Christ Mennonite Church in Gentry. He was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife, Wanda Lorene Todd Miller; one grandson, Keegan Nathaniel Miller; and two brothers, Enos Miller and Johnny Miller.

Survivors include his wife, Lillian Mae Koehn Miller, whom he married on September 19, 2010; two sons and daughters-in-law, Jeremy and Meredith Miller of Clifty, Arkansas, and Jonathan and Gaylyna Miller of Skiatook, Oklahoma; six daughters and six sonsin-law, Malinda and Trey Fitch and Cindy and Dave Robinson, all of Hindsville, Arkansas, Pam and Carl McGarrah of Clifty, Arkansas, Debbie and Curtis Creek of Springdale, Arkansas, Sarah and Justin Hopper of Rogers, Arkansas and Bethany and Jesse Husmann of Tulsa, Oklahoma; two brothers, Marvin Miller and Ruben Miller; four sisters, Annie Caldwell, Eliza Stilley, Ella Steinfeld and Alma Phillips; seventeen grandchild­ren, Carl Fitch, Sam Robinson, Josh Robinson, Julie McGarrah, Mattie McGarrah, Katie Gill, Matthew Thomas, Aaron Thomas, Josh Creek, MacKenzie Creek, Brock A Miller, Ashton Miller, Brynleigh Miller, Addisyn Miller, Caleb Miller, Reed Clarence Hopper and Evelyn Husmann; and many nephews and nieces.

Funeral services were held at 10:00 a.m. Monday at the Gentry Mennonite Church with Minister Jack Burns and Minister Dwayne Koehn officiatin­g. Graveside services and interment were at the Clifty Cemetery under the direction of Wasson Funeral Home of Siloam Springs, Arkansas at 3:00 p.m. Monday. Pallbearer­s were Trey Fitch, Dave Robinson, Carl McGarrah, Curtis Creek, Justin Hopper and Jesse Husmann. Honorary pallbearer­s were Carl Fitch, Sam Robinson, Josh Robinson, Matthew Thomas, Aaron Thomas, Josh Creek and Brock A Miller. Visitation and memory sharing were from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Sunday evening at the Gentry Mennonite Church.

L.J. Perona Jr.

After 50 years of marriage and a successful farm business, Louie lost his battle with cancer on October 5, 2017, and starting his journey to receive the gift of eternal life having accepted Jesus in his heart.

He is leaving behind his wife, Pat Haden Perona; sons, Michael (Sharon) and Brett (Kathy); grandsons, Brandon, Derek, Hayden, Louis; sisters, Sheila Canup (Jim) and Cerese Roberts (Danny); four nieces and many other relatives and friends.

Funeral services were at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, October 10, 2017, at Wasson Funeral Home, Siloam Springs, with the family receiving friends after the service. Graveside services were at 11:30 a.m., Tuesday, October 10, at Yell Cemetery in the Robinson Community of Benton County. There was no public viewing. Robert Phillips

Robert Phillips, 89, of Sulphur Springs, died Oct. 7, 2017.

He was born Oct. 27, 1927, in Kendericks­on, Mo., to Lewis and Mary Malaqun Phillips. He was a farmer and worked at Emerson Electric for 19 years, and as a security guard for Glad Manufactur­ing for 2½ years. He was a member of the Church of Christ and served in the United States Air Force. He played the guitar in several local country bands.

He was preceded in death by three sons, James, Donald and Charley Phillips. He is survived by his children, Pat Misener of the home, Robert Phillips Jr. of Garfield, David Phillips of Clifty; 14 grandchild­ren; 28 greatgrand­children; and eight great-great-grandchild­ren.

A celebratio­n of Robert’s life will be at 4 p.m. Sunday; Oct. 15, at the Veterans Park Pavilion in Rogers. Arrangemen­ts are by Benton County Funeral Home, Rogers.
