Doral Addington

Doral Addington, 93, of Decatur, died Jan. 19, 2018, at Northwest Medical Center, Bentonvill­e.

He was born Jan. 7, 1925, in Jay, Okla., to Henry Addington and Le Ola Brown Addington. He married Hazel Dannels Sept. 11, 1954, and was a chicken grader for Peterson Farms for many years.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, three sisters and three brothers.

Survivors include his daughter, Lisa Addington of Decatur; grandchild­ren, Aaron Hixson and Brian Goodwin; sisters, Alice Meeks and Rita Foster, both of Siloam Springs.

Funeral services were Tuesday, Jan. 23, at Decatur First Baptist Church, Decatur. Burial followed at Decatur Cemetery, Decatur. Arrangemen­ts were by Wasson Funeral Home, Siloam Springs.

Jo Ann Elizabeth Bell

Jo Ann Elizabeth Bell, 85, of Tahlequah, Okla., and longtime resident of Colcord, Okla., died on Jan. 14, 2018, at Cherokee County Nursing Center.

She was born Oct. 31, 1932, in Benton County to Ray Johnson and Lavona McKinley Johnson. She married Silas “Jack” Bell on Oct. 30, 1952. She worked as a janitorial supervisor at Colcord High School. She was a member of the Independen­t Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Bell; and two sons, Roger Bell and J.R. Bell.

She is survived by one son, Stephen Bell of Muskogee, Okla.; two stepdaught­ers, Barbara Grandberry and Shirley Mills; one halfbrothe­r, George Gibby of Prescott Valley, Ariz.; and four grandchild­ren, including Rodrick Bell of North Carolina.

Graveside services were Friday, Jan. 19, at Mt. Hermon Cemetery, near Jay, Okla., with Greg Baskin officiatin­g. Arrangemen­ts were by Wasson Funeral Home, Siloam Springs.

Joyce ‘Yvonne’ Howard

Joyce “Yvonne” Howard, 70, of Gentry, died Jan. 16, 2018, at her home.

She was born April 16, 1947, in Siloam Springs, to Ernest Jones and Goldie Riley Jones. She lived all of her life in northwest Arkansas and was married to Robert Howard. She was a member of Victory Worship Center.

Survivors include her husband, Robert of the home; son, Bert Howard of Grove, Okla.; daughters, Mary Ann Schaffer of Siloam Springs, Loretta Lynn Jackson of Washington state, and Gloria Skipper of Westville, Okla.; eight grandchild­ren, 14 great-grandchild­ren; three great-great-grandchild­ren; brothers, Wayne Jones of Highfill, and Jay Jones of Westville.

Funeral services were Saturday, Jan. 20, at Wasson Memorial Chapel, Siloam Springs. Burial followed at Highfill Cemetery, Highfill. Arrangemen­ts were by Wasson Funeral Home, Siloam Springs.

Mary Evelyn Jacobson

Mary Evelyn Jacobson, 76, of Gentry, died on Jan. 16, 2018, at Washington Regional Medical Center in Fayettevil­le.

She was born Oct. 1, 1941, in Gentry, to Raymond Thomas Duffel and Mattie Vinona Lyons Duffel. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Gentry. She worked in the medical field for many years and lived in Arizona, Washington, California and Montana. She married David Lee Jacobson in Missoula, Mont. She was active in her church and went on several mission trips. She returned to Gentry and worked at The Tattered Page and Workforce in Siloam Springs.

She was preceded in death by her husband, David; her parents, Raymond and Mattie; and one sister, Carolyn Kauffman.

She is survived by one son, Murray Raymond Cruickshan­k and wife Gemma Velazquez-Cruickshan­k of Oakland, Calif.; one daughter, Dyann Marshane Tisdale and husband Trenton of Gentry; four grandchild­ren, Trenton Tisdale, Rachel Beach, Sarah Tisdale and Rebecca Holman; one great-granddaugh­ter; and sister, Paula Tilghman of Georgetown, Calif.

Funeral services were Saturday, Jan. 20, at Wasson Funeral Home, Siloam Springs, with Tim Cypert officiatin­g. Burial followed at Gentry Cemetery. Arrangemen­ts were by Wasson Funeral Home.

Irene McFadin

Irene McFadin, 95, West Siloam Springs, Okla., died Jan. 19, 2018, at Quail Ridge Living Center, West Siloam Springs, Okla.

She was born Jan. 26, 1922, at Decatur, to Luther Philpott and Alva Morris Philpott. She married Roy “Major” McFadin and worked for Daisy BB Gun for many years.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and three brothers.

Survivors include sons, Ron McFadin and wife Clairace of Colcord, Okla., and Joe McFadin and wife Carolyn of Colcord; daughter, Betty Foresee and husband Bobby of Bentonvill­e; nine grandchild­ren; 24 great-grandchild­ren; 19 great-great-grandchild­ren; brother, Bobby Philpott of Gentry; and sister, Mary Sue Roberts of Perry, Kan.

Funeral service will be at 10 a.m., Wednesday, Jan. 24, at Wasson Memorial Chapel, Siloam Springs. Burial will follow at Gentry Cemetery, Gentry. Arrangemen­ts are by Wasson Funeral Home, Siloam Springs.

Wayne McKenzie

Wayne McKenzie died on Jan. 17, 2018, at Earlene Howard Hospice House in Springdale.

He was born in 1940 at the Pickens Hospital in Bentonvill­e to Marshall McKen- zie and Leta

Fulk McKenzie. He was a Baptist pastor and minister since 1973. He was a production manager in the wood-roof truss industry for many years and a school bus driver 10 years for Rogers Public Schools. He graduated from Decatur High School and had a diploma in general Bible studies from Liberty University. He was a member of Bethel Baptist Church in Bentonvill­e.

He was preceded in death by his first wife of 32 years, Patricia Wiseman McKenzie; and his parents.

He is survived by his present wife of 18 years, Patsy McKenzie; two sons, Tory McKenzie and wife Karole of Cave Springs, and Trent McKenzie and wife Jennifer of Nashville, Tenn.; a stepdaught­er, Cheryl Baker and husband Tim of Jacksonvil­le, Texas; a stepson, Daryl Holland of Bella Vista; five grandchild­ren, Kara Armond, Alex Baker, Cori Holland, Jake Holland and James McKenzie; and three great-grandchild­ren.

Funeral services were Monday, Jan. 22, at Bethel Baptist Church, 2907 N. Walton Blvd., Bentonvill­e, with Michael Goering officiatin­g. Burial followed the service at Bentonvill­e City Cemetery. Arrangemen­ts were by Wasson Funeral Home, Siloam Springs.

Lucille ‘Lucy’ Peck

Lucille “Lucy” Peck, 61, died at her home in Hiwasse on Monday, Jan. 15, 2018, surrounded by her family.

She was born March 2, 1956, in Wellston,

Ohio, to Luster Prater and Lois (Coleman) Prater.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and sisters, Karen Prater and Brenda Paige.

She is survived by her husband, Gregory Peck; daughter, Amy (Tim) Scritchfie­ld; son, Robert Peck; brothers, Ron (Jody) Prater of Alabama, Randy (Nola) Prater of Ohio; sister, Sharon (Gary) Kersey of Ohio; stepdaught­ers, Angela (Marshall) Akers, Jennifer (Jason Creechbaum) Powell; grandchild­ren, Hayleigh (Nathan) Carver, Bristol Peck, Paisley Scritchfie­ld, Abby Scritchfie­ld, Jarret Powell, Jesse Powell.

A celebratio­n of life service will be held for the family in the future. Arrangemen­ts are by Bella Vista Funeral Home & Crematory.
