- Charles Earl Orr Amy Rodgers Stevens

Charles Earl “Charlie” Orr, 62, of Gravette, died Tuesday, March 13, 2018, at Washington Regional Medical Center. He was born Sept. 18, 1955, in Gravette to Hurschel Lee and Mary Elizabeth Clark Orr.

Charlie was a former chief of the Sulphur Springs Fire Department. He lived to hunt and fish and was a hero to his family.

He is survived by two sons, David Orr and wife Cassandra, Bobby Orr and wife Cricket; one sister, Mary Orr; and six grandchild­ren.

Funeral service was held Saturday, March 17, at Beacon Baptist Church in Gravette. Burial was in Coffelt Cemetery.

Arrangemen­ts were by Heritage Funeral Home.

Amy Rodgers Stevens, 41, died Friday, Feb. 23, 2018, at Charlotte, North Carolina.

She was born Jan. 17, 1977, in Gravette, to Ozzie and Lisa Rodgers. She was a 1995 graduate of Gravette High School.

Survivors include her husband, David Stevens of Albemarle, N.C.; two sons, Cade and Taren Mercell of Jane, Mo.; a daughter, Azayla Carlisle of Albemarle, N.C.; her parents, Ozzie and Lisa Rodgers of Decatur; two sisters, Janet Greer and husband Josh of Sulphur Springs and Sandi Gerstner and husband Glenn of Gentry; and uncles Dutch Rodgers and wife Doyne of Decatur, Jerry Edwards and wife Pam of Albemarle, N.C.; and Charlie Brown and wife Gail of Warren, Mich.

A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m., Saturday, March 31, at the Gravette Church of Christ, 202 Irving Street.

Cremation was by Hartsell Funeral Home in Albemarle, N.C.
