- Ricky Don Sheppard Joseph Thomas Smith

Ricky Don Sheppard, 58, of Siloam Springs, died July 27, 2018, at his home.

He was born Aug. 5, 1959, in Springdale, to James Harvey Sheppard and Mary Ellen Doss Sheppard. He graduated from Siloam Springs High School. He worked as an auto mechanic and also did auto body work.

He was preceded in death by his father, James Harvey Sheppard; and a brother, James Edward Sheppard.

He is survived by three daughters, Amber Summerfiel­d and husband Dwayne of Bella Vista, Tawny Ussery and husband Darren of Elkins, and Samantha Sheppard and husband Kenny Harpharlow of Fayettevil­le; mother, Mary Sheppard of Siloam Springs; 15 grandchild­ren, Payton Andrews, Jacob Steele, Alexia Andrews, Hailey Andrews, Tyler Luper, Jaiden Andrews, Kailyn Harpharlow, Tayler Luper, Carina Harpharlow, Liam Summerfiel­d, Valerie Sheppard, Aiden Summerfiel­d, Darrian Summers, Laura Hornback and Hunter Ussery; two great grandchild­ren; brother, Roger Sheppard and wife Faye of Siloam Springs; two sisters, Sue Hodges and husband Gerald of Gentry, and Vicky Lamb of Gentry; sister-in-law, Peggy Sheppard of Harrison.

Funeral services will be 2 p.m., Thursday, August 2, at Wasson Funeral Home, Siloam Springs. Burial will follow at Fairmount Cemetery in Gentry. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m., Wednesday, Aug. 1, at Wasson Funeral Home, Siloam Springs.

Joseph “Joe” Thomas Smith, 77, of Gentry, died on July 29, 2018, at his home.

He was born July 10, 1941, in Titusville, Fla., to Aulcie Smith and Augusta McAbee Smith. He moved to the Cherokee City area in the early 1950s. He married Janice Elaine True on March 5, 1962, in Jay, Okla. He worked as a farmer, running a dairy for more than 40 years and later raising turkeys. He was a member of the Colcord Church of Christ.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Janice Smith; son, Tom Smith; brother, Anthony Smith; and three sisters, Katherine, Esther and Frieda.

He is survived by two children, Rob Smith and wife Sandy of Gentry, and Sandra Smith of Gentry; daughterin-law, Patricia Smith of Jay; five grandchild­ren, Cody Smith and Leslie, Kali Rivera and Murrell, Perry Sullins and Ashley, Dakota Smith and Katie Smith; and six great-grandchild­ren.

Funeral services will be 2 p.m., Wednesday, Aug. 1, at Colcord Church of Christ, with Mike Ellis and Mark Rotramel officiatin­g. Burial will follow at Dickson Cemetery in Cherokee City. Visitation was Tuesday, July 31, at Wasson Funeral Home, Siloam Springs.
