Highfill E.H.C. met in the home of Helen Zambrano on Feb. 18 and thanks her for offering her home to us.

The meeting was called to order by President Peggy Dillahunty. We welcomed two guests. They were Smokey Roughton and Carol Waggnor. Roll call was answered with volunteer hours. We had 12 members with a total of 271 hours.

Helen Zambrano had a very fitting inspirational for us. The title was Forever Yours and it brought out Valentine’s Day and the love we all share. New ideas were shared. Effie Byers had valentine buckets for centerpieces. Jeanette Petty had some fabric wrapped toilet tissue. It was very pretty. The minutes were read and the treasurer’s report given. Jeanie Hittson reported for the membership committee. On March 18 they will have a meeting in Centerton to form a new club. Spring Council will be April 26 in Bella Vista.

Sue Etris made a motion to keep the same officers for this upcoming year and the motion passed. The president is Peggy Dillahunty, the vice president is Jeanie Hittson, the secretary is Shirley Philpott and the treasurer is Linda Coker.

Effie Byers had our lesson. It was on family financial management, home repair and home maintenance checklist. We learned lots. The meeting adjourned with the reading of the Homemakers Prayer.

On September 17, we met in the library for a meeting. We made Port Pillows for Highlands Oncology Center in Rogers. There is a need for them for cancer patients. We cut, sewed and stuffed 107 port pillows. Peggy and Mary Ellen took them to Highlands the next day. They were thankful to get them.
