Sulphur Breakfast Benefit

A benefit breakfast will be served from 7 to 11 a.m. Saturday, March 16, at the old school cafeteria in Sulphur Springs. The breakfast menu will feature eggs, bacon, pancakes, coffee, juice and milk. All proceeds will go to help fund park improvemen­ts in the city.

Quilt, Craft Class

A free class for quilters and crafters will be held at 12:30 p.m. Saturday, March 16, at the Church of Christ annex, 202 Irving Street S.W., in Gravette. Instructio­n on a quilt block will be given, and there will be a “show and tell” session. Please bring a snack to share and completed projects or works in progress.

Spring Break Activities

Gentry Public Library has activities planned during Spring Break. On Monday, March 18, Wednesday, March 20, and Friday, March 22, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., children, grades K-6, are invited to create their own superhero costumes, have snacks, and read the library’s own Curiositea­m Comic Book. Please register your children by calling the Library at 479-7362054. On Tuesday, March 19, everyone is invited to have coffee and gossip in the McKee room. And, every Thursday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m., the GPL Homeschool­ers group meets for crafts, snacks and reading. Contact the library for more informatio­n at 479736-2054.

Senior Center Quilt Raffle

Quilt raffle tickets may be purchased at the Billy V. Hall Senior Activity Center for four quilts made and donated by Betty Howard. Drawing will be held for two queen/full quilts and two twin bed quilts which will be raffled together. Cost is $1 per ticket or six for $5. Drawing will be held Friday, March 29. Visit the Center at 1870 Limekiln Road or call 479-787-5950. All proceeds go to the Meals on Wheels program which serves homebound seniors in Gravette, Decatur, Sulphur Springs, Hiwasse and Maysville.
