Marsha R. Bland

Marsha R. Bland, 77, of Gentry, died July 7, 2019, in Bentonvill­e.

She was born Sept. 7, 1941, in Duluth, Minn., to George A. Sears and Theron A. Busch Sears. She and Glen Bland started Bland’s Twice But Nice in the 1980s, and it was a fixture in the community, selling furniture, antiques of all kinds, bait, tackle, guns, ammo and jewelry. She was an excellent seamstress and sewed until her death.

She was preceded in death by her parents, sister Carmen Bonneville, and son Ric Mapes.

Survivors include her sisters Cheri Crane, Darla Gould and Holly Lamour; children, Ron Mapes and wife Julia, Guy Mapes and wife Karole, and Romelle Walkup and husband Tim; grandchild­ren, Marissa Mapes Mallory Hill, Clarissa Mapes, Rachel Emry, Isaac Walkup, Dennis McManus, Candice Kordek, Lisa McManus and Taylor “Adam” Babcock; and 13 great-grandchild­ren.

A celebratio­n of life service will be held at 2 p.m., Monday, Aug. 5, at Wasson Memorial Chapel, Siloam Springs. Wasson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangemen­ts.

Peggy Jo Pike

Peggy Jo (Drake) Pike died July 26, 2019, at the Circle of Life Hospice Center in Bentonvill­e.

She was born Dec. 20, 1939, in Southwest City, Mo., to John and Goldie (Seabourn) Drake. She graduated from Grove (Okla.) High School in the Class of

1958. After graduation, she married Kennith Pike of Gravette on Oct. 3, 1958. Kennith and Peggy made their home in Diamond Bar, Calif., where they operated a constructi­on business for many years. It was there that two sons, Leslie and Lance Pike, were born. They moved to Redmond, Wash., where they ran a successful horse-boarding farm and Peggy became an accomplish­ed equestrian rider and showed pleasure horses, winning several awards. They moved back to Arkansas to raise their family.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Jerry, Robert and John; and two sisters, Linda and Deborah.

She is survived by her husband, Kennith; sons, Leslie Pike and Lance Pike of Decatur; sisters, Betty Tapp of Corning, Calif., Sharon Tapp of Jay, Okla., Twila Harvey of Ponca City, Okla., Donna Friday of Ethete, Wyo., and Carol King of Southwest City, Mo.; one brother, Randy of Farmers Branch, Texas; three granddaugh­ters, Ashley Pike, Misty Frye and Lonna Pike; three grandsons, Wade Pike, Ryan Pike, Leslie Pike; and 10 great-grandchild­ren.

A memorial service was held at the Circle of Life Hospice Center in Bentonvill­e on Sunday, July 28. Arrangemen­ts were by Epting Funeral Home in Gravette.
