Peggy Joyce Davidson

Mrs. Peggy Joyce Davidson, age 82, of Gentry, Arkansas, passed away, Tuesday, August 27, 2019, at Apple Creek Nursing and Rehab in Centerton, Arkansas. She was born April 24th, 1937, in Kansas City, Missouri, to Otto Neal and Martha Ellen Watters Walters.

Peggy was preceded in death by her parents; sons, Brian Keith Davidson, and Elmer Neal Davidson. Daughter, Sherry Lynne Dagley. Brothers, Neal Walters, James Walters, Tom Walters, and John Steven Walters. Sisters, Dorothy Weiner, Ruth Bailey, Lola Belle Walker, Sally Fancher, and Patty Sue Stubbs and a grandchild, Andrew Dagley.

Peggy is survived by her husband of 63 years, Ailo Keith Davidson; Daughter, Emily Hodges and husband Kevin; sister, Martha Jo Pritchard and husband L.D.; sisters-in-law, Marilyn Walters, Rita Walters, Cindy Walters, Lucille Arnold, and Janie Davidson. Grandchild­ren, Scott Thompson, Allen Dagley, and wife Kim, Megan Sullins and husband Shane, Sydney, Konner and Tucker Hodges. Greatgrand­children, Kristen, Jennifer, Ashley, Hayden, Isabelle, Michael and Lacey Thompson, Mason and Morgan Dagley.

Visitation for Peggy will be held 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday, August 30, 2019, at Benton County Memorial Park Funeral Home. Graveside service will be held 10 a.m. Saturday, August 31, 2019, at Benton County Memorial Park Cemetery in Rogers, with Randy Feathersto­n officiatin­g. Arrangemen­ts by Benton County Memorial Park Funeral Home, Rogers, Arkansas.

Mark Wayne Scantlin

Mark Wayne Scantlin, 65, died Aug. 24, 2019, at his home in Hiwasse.

He was born Aug. 31, 1953, in Bentonvill­e to James Henry and Ella Scantlin. He was of the Christian faith and was a member of the Hiwasse Christian Church, being baptized at the age of 12 at a tent revival in Springdale. He coached football for many years in Gravette. He raised his four grandchild­ren. He spent his summers with them, mowing lawns and numerous cemeteries in the area. He was also a caregiver for his longtime friend, Larry Gardner of Hiwasse.

He was preceded in death by his father; and his nephew, Gary Scantlin.

He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Jana Scantlin; his mother, Ella Scantlin of Hiwasse; two daughters, Stephanie Miles of Pueblo, Colo., and Tonya Truitt of Springdale; five sisters, Marcy Lumpkins of Benton, Nancy Scantlin Osborn of Rogers, Vivian Dobbs of Maumelle, Carol Sullivan of Bella Vista, and Linda Scantlin of Joplin, Mo.; two brothers, Ed Scantlin of Bella Vista, and John Scantlin of Lawton, Okla.; four grandchild­ren, Chris White of Hiwasse, Jeremy White of Bella Vista, Kimberlea Bumgardner of Gravette, and Mechia Carroll of Gravette; as well as 13 greatgrand­children.

Visitation was Thursday, Aug. 29. A funeral service was held Friday, Aug. 30, at Bella Vista Funeral Home Chapel in Bella Vista. Burial followed at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in Gravette.
