Fellowship Christmas dinner

UM Christmas Eve service

Pastor Heath Williams and the congregati­on of the Gravette United Methodist Church invite all in the area to their Christmas Eve Service of Carols, Holy Communion and Candleligh­t on Tuesday, Dec. 24, at 6:30 p.m. The church is located one block north of Main Street at 201 Akron Street N.E.

Extra police patrols

The Gravette Police Department reminds residents that they can request extra police patrols when they have plans to be out of town. The homeowner will need to provide basic details such as departure and return date, any expected vehicles (such as a pet sitter) and an emergency contact number. Residents are reminded to be careful about what they post on social media or share around town regarding out-of-town plans. Falling Springs Singing

Monthly singing services at Falling Springs Church are held at 7 p.m. the first Friday of each month. The church is located northwest of Gentry and west of Decatur on Falling Springs Road.

First Baptist Pantry

First Baptist Church, located at 213 E. Roller Ave. in Decatur, holds a community food pantry on the second and fourth Wednesdays of the month, from 3:30 to 5 p.m. For more informatio­n, contact the church at 479-2826658.

TOPS in Gentry

Gentry TOPS AR113, a nonprofit group that promotes healthy weight loss, meets every Monday at the First Christian Church Fellowship Room, Second and Giles, with a weighin at 2:15 p.m. and the meeting at 3 p.m. There is a small fee to join but the first meeting is free.

GFA Food Pantry

The GFA food pantry at the First Assembly of God in Gentry is open from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. on Tuesdays. The church partners with the NWA Food Bank and Rural Compassion to receive food to be given away, including canned goods, fresh vegetables, bread, milk and dairy products, eggs and meats. Other items such as toilet paper, shampoo, cleaning products and baby supplies are also available as supplies last. Clients are asked to call for an appointmen­t. Tired Iron Club

Tired Iron of the Ozarks antique engine and tractor club meets at 7 p.m. the third Tuesday of each month at the club’s show grounds, located at 13344 Taylor Orchard Road in Gentry. For more informatio­n, visit the club’s website at tiredirono­ftheozarks.org.

Decatur VFW Post

VFW Post 9834 meets at 7:30 p.m. on the first Tuesday of each month. Guests are welcome.

Lions Meetings

The Gravette Lions Club meets at 12:15 p.m. the first and third Tuesday of the month at the Billy V. Hall Senior Activity and Wellness Center, 1870 Limekiln Road, in Gravette. New members are welcome and invited.

Kiwanis Club

The Gravette Kiwanis Club holds breakfast meetings at 7 a.m. each Friday at the cafeteria inside Ozarks Community Hospital. Guests are welcome.

Legion Meetings

Gravette American Legion, Post 25, meets at 7 p.m. on the third Tuesday of the month at the Civic Center. All veterans are welcome. Those interested in joining the American Legion, and especially Post 25, may contact the Gravette post at P.O. Box 476, Gravette, AR 72736.
