William ‘Bill’ Wraymond Crites

William “Bill” Wraymond Crites, 75, of Colcord, Okla., died March 30, 2020, at his home.

He was born on June 11, 1944, in Concordia, Kan., to Charles Robert Crites and Jolene Nelson Drury. He graduated from high school in Smith Center, Kan. He worked in heavy constructi­on, owning and operating heavy equipment and working in Kansas, California, Nigeria, Algeria, Arkansas and Oklahoma. He moved to Colcord in 1974 and worked as a coal handler for SWEPCO in Gentry until his retirement in 1999. He continued operating heavy equipment after his retirement and had only stopped recently.

He married Sharon Silcox on June 13, 1991, in Las Vegas, Nev. He was a member of Masonic Lodge #252 in Kansas, Okla., where he was past master three times, and also 32nd degree Scottish Rite. He also was a Shriner and was potentate in 2017 at Akdar Shrine in Tulsa, Okla. He was an avid hunter and loved to hunt pheasant, deer and elk. He was a member of Cornerston­e Baptist Church in Cherokee City.

He was preceded in death by his daughter, Annette Crites; his parents, Charles Crites and Jolene Drury; and two brothers, Lonnie Drury and Randy Drury.

He is survived by his wife, Sharon Crites; two sons, Dane Crites of Colcord, and Troy Crites of Colcord; stepson, Greg Silcox of Edmond, Okla.; 12 grandchild­ren, 10 greatgrand­children, with one on the way; and three sisters, Jan Powell of Belton, Texas, Sandy Boardman of Fort Worth, Texas, and Judy Hatfield of Idaho.

A private service will be held at Row Cemetery in Colcord, Okla. He will be in state at Wasson Funeral Home on Friday, April 3, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., with gatherings of no more than 10 people allowed in at any time. The family will be receiving friends at their home on Friday, April 3, from 5 to 7 p.m. Arrangemen­ts are by Wasson Funeral Home in Siloam Springs.

Patricia Sue Webb

Patricia Sue Webb, 69, of Decatur, died on April 4, 2020, at her home.

She was born Oct. 13, 1950, in Bentonvill­e, to Wilbur Holland and Betty Jo Fielding Morris. At an early age, she was raised by her stepfather, Richard “Bud” Burr, and mother in Rogers. She graduated from high school at the Ozark Adventist Academy in Gentry. She married Dr. William Frank Webb on Feb. 17, 1982, in Hot Springs. She was a member of Victory Missionary Baptist Church in Gentry.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Wilbur Holland and Betty Jo Morris; her stepfather­s, Bud Burr and Bill Morris; and brother, Bob Holland.

She is survived by her husband, Dr. William Frank Webb of the home; three children, Gregory Wayne Webb and wife Gwen of McKinney, Texas, Mary Beth Webb and fiancée Rick Fisher of Salina, Okla., and Jennifer Marie Du’ran and husband Larry of Ketchikan, Alaska; five grandchild­ren, Patrick, Marie, Nathaniel, Gabriella and Amber; siblings, Joe Holland and wife Charlotte of Jay, Okla., Dianne Leeman and husband Russell of Decatur, Jim Burr and wife Jeannie of Bentonvill­e, and Candace Douglas of Rogers.

Memorial services will be planned for a later date. Arrangemen­ts are by Wasson Funeral Home in Siloam Springs.

Wayne Ross

Wayne Ross, 45, of Gravette, died April 4, 2020.

He was born March 24, 1975, in Clarksvill­e, Texas, to Linda Ross and Gary Ross.

He moved to Arkansas in 1987 and loved the Ozarks and the outdoors. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and finding the elusive morel mushrooms.

He is survived by his two sons, Jared W. Ross and Gavin L. Ross of Gravette; mother, Linda of Bella Vista; father, Gary of Clarksvill­e, Texas; brother, Gary Ross Jr. of Bella Vista, sister, Jennifer Echeverri of Gravette, brothers, Todd Ross of Denton, Texas, and Tyler LaDuke of Bentonvill­e.

Arrangemen­ts are by Bella Vista Funeral Home and Crematory.
