GRAVETTE — Although the covid-19 pandemic has necessitated the cancellation of the traditional Easter Eggstravaganza originally planned by the Greater Gravette Chamber of Commerce, ladies from the Gravette Fire Department Women’s Auxiliary are offering to see that area youngsters are able to participate in an Easter egg hunt.

“How would you like to wake up to a yard filled with candy and trinket filled eggs?” they ask. “This year, we want to Egg Your Yard!”

Auxiliary members are offering four different options to place pre-filled eggs in the yards of families in Gravette, Decatur, Hiwasse and Bella Vista. Families can have 30 eggs hidden for $20, 65 eggs for $40, 100 eggs for $60 or 140 eggs for $80.

All proceeds benefit the Gravette department’s women’s auxiliary.

“Our goal is to provide the necessary equipment to our full-time and volunteer emergency responders, as well as meals for them when they are out on calls or training sessions,” said a spokesperson for the auxiliary. “We hope to be able to Egg Your Yard!”

Persons wishing to participate in Egg Your Yard should fill out the Google form at https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSed8nvpIvKSZJEobOjG4NDrXPBaRNauKsF2mta_dKtxiRahDA/viewform or text Sarah, 417-234-2503; Ashley, 479-747-6527 or Kendra, 479-212-2830.

Responses should include the respondent’s name, delivery info, contact number, choice of egg package and payment type (Venmo, PayPal, cash or check).

They should also list any allergies family members might have, as well as yard hiding info.
