Adam Effort Alsip

Adam Effort Alsip, 50, of Gentry, died on April 10, 2020, at Northwest Medical Center in Bentonvill­e.

He was born on April 7, 1970, to Tom and Linda Alsip of Gentry, the last of five sons.

He is survived by one son, Asa Alsip of Springdale; his parents; and four brothers, Carl Alsip and wife Teri of West Siloam Springs, Okla., Greg Alsip of Gentry, Mark Alsip of Chattanoog­a, Tenn., and Ken Alsip of Gentry.

A memorial service was held at 3 p.m. May 2, 2020, at Springtown Cemetery in Springtown.

Springdale Memorial Funeral Home of Springdale was in charge of crematory arrangemen­ts.

Eula Mae Duncan

Eula Mae Duncan died May 3, 2020, at her home in Gravette after a brief illness.

She was born May 24, 1924, in Hiwasse, to Willie and Ruth Duncan. After high school, she attended business college in Tulsa, Okla. During WWII, she worked for McDonald Douglas Aircraft as a clerk typist in the photo department in which photos were developed showing the stages of plane developmen­t. She later worked for Public Service of Oklahoma, where she worked her way up to be the secretary to the president of the company. She retired in 1990 and remained in Tulsa until recently when she returned home to Gravette. She was an avid sports

Duncan fan, belonged to a bowling group, loved to travel and was a member of First Baptist Church of Tulsa.

She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Maxine Duncan Roberts and Imo Jean Duncan Douglas.

Graveside service will be held at 1 p.m., Friday, May 8, at Hillcrest Cemetery in Gravette. Arrangemen­ts are by Bella Vista Funeral Home and Crematory.

Henry Joe ‘Jody’ Stidham

Henry Joe “Jody” Stidham, 47, of Hiwasse, died Wednesday, April 29, 2020, at his home.

He was born Jan. 31, 1973, in Gravette to Harlon Stidham and Lillian Barnett. He was a lifelong resident of the Gravette-Hiwasse area and enjoyed woodworkin­g, old cars and spending time with his grandchild­ren.

He was preceded in death by his father.

Survivors include his mother, Lillian Barnett of Bella Vista; his companion of over 30 years, Danna Martin of Hiwasse; one daughter, Shannon Thorpe (Sean) of Highfill; two brothers, Herber Todd (Sharon) of Gravette and Johnny Stidham (Barbara) of Prairie Grove; two sisters, Deanne School of Carpenters­ville, Ill., and Kim Newman of Bella Vista; two grandchild­ren, Sophia and Chase Thorpe.

Graveside services were Saturday, May 2, at 1 p.m. at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in Hiwasse. Arrangemen­ts were by Epting Funeral Home of Gravette.
