Vaccination clinic set
Northwest Health EMS and the Gentry Fire Dept. will host a Covid-19 Vaccination Clinic on April 1, from 8 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., at the First Baptist Church of Gentry, located at 232 W. Main Street. This is a two-part vaccine, and an additional clinic is currently scheduled for April 22. Appointments are currently being reserved for the April 1 clinic only. Sign up at www.gentryarkansas.us.
Community Easter worship
Church on the Hill at Gravette will host a “Pull Up and Praise” community Easter worship Sunday, April 4, at 7 a.m. Area residents are invited to pull into a spot in the parking lot and tune their radios to 100.7 FM or simply lower their windows to hear the worship service. Visitors must be within 200 yards to hear the radio transmission. CDC guidelines will be followed.
Spring Tired Iron show set
The 2021 Spring Show of the Tired Iron of the Ozarks will be Friday and Saturday, April 16-17, at the club’s showgrounds located at 13344 Taylor Orchard Road in Gentry. More details will be published as they become available.
Gentry library open by appointment
Gentry Public Library now has in-library services, including browsing and public computers, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., by reservation, and offers curbside printing and pickup during those hours. Occupancy will be limited based on areas of the library. The library continues to offer curbside service. Requests may be submitted through the library’s catalog (Atriuum), by email at bookmark@ gentrylibrary.us, or by calling 479-736-2054.
Senior Center food pantry
The mobile food pantry at the Billy V. Hall Senior Activity Center is held on the fourth Tuesday of each month, beginning at 10 a.m. Those interested are advised to arrive no later than 11 a.m. Food boxes are available for curbside pickup. Anyone with questions may call center director Melissa Provence at 479-787-5950.
First Baptist food pantry
First Baptist Church, located at 213 E. Roller Ave. in Decatur, holds a community food pantry on the second and fourth Wednesdays of the month, from 3:30 to 5 p.m. For more information, contact the church at 479-2826658.
Bella Vista Area Radio Club
The Bella Vista Area Radio Club is conducting virtual meetings on the first Thursday of each month via YouTube Live. In-person monthly license testing has resumed on the second Saturday of the month. All amateur radio enthusiasts and prospective hams are invited. Details are online at www. Library board meetings
Meetings of the Gravette Public Library advisory board are held at 6 p.m. on the second Tuesday of each month at the library. The library is located at 119 Main St. S.E. All meetings are open to the public.
Kiwanis Club meetings
Kiwanis Club meetings are held at 7 a.m. on the first and third Fridays of each month at the Gravette Civic Center and are open to the public. Judge Jimm Hendren will be guest speaker for the April 2 meeting. Visitors are asked to wear a mask when arriving and until seated when physical distancing is not possible.
GFA food pantry drive-through
GFA Pantry Inc. at the Gentry Assembly is open from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. on Tuesdays. The pantry is drive-through only during the covid-19 pandemic. Clients are asked to call 662-727-5157 or email gfapantry@gmail. com for appointments. They then can pull up to the drive-through awning and someone will meet them outside and get them signed in and bring their food to their vehicle. This is until further notice.
