Area teams participate in Elks Senior Relays
WESTSIDE — Teams from Gravette, Decatur and Gentry traveled west Thursday afternoon to participate in the 2021 Elkins Elks Senior Relay. By the end of the four-hour-long event, the Pea Ridge Lady Blackhawks took the gold medal with 133.50 points and the Blackhawk men’s team brought home the gold with 129 points.
In addition to Pea Ridge, eight teams participated in the event. The teams included Northwest Arkansas Classical Academy, Greenland, West Fork, Shiloh Christian, Haas Hall-Bentonville, Gravette, Gentry, Decatur and host Elkins Elks.
On the girls’ side, Gravette took third place with 47 points, while Gentry took seventh with 29 points.
The Gravette boys came in with a fourth-place finish with 48 points. Gentry took an eighth-place finish with 11 points. The Decatur Bulldogs came in ninth with eight points.
