GRAVETTE — SONIC reveals the final 12 drivein teams competing for the gold in the 27th annual DR PEPPER SONIC GAMES. The gold, silver and bronze medalists of this year’s premier training program will be recognized this September as the top SONIC Drive-Ins in the country

Thousands of SONIC Drive-In teams across the country have spent the past several months competing in a series of trainings, quizzes and challenges to test their operational execution in hopes to achieve a spot in the annual DR PEPPER SONIC GAMES Final 12. For 27 years, the premier training program has inspired friendly competition and team building, while improving overall drive-in operations.

Throughout the program, participating driveins compete in multiple team and individual challenges related to food safety, menu knowledge, order taking and more to deliver exceptional guest experiences. The DR PEPPER SONIC GAMES gives drive-ins the opportunity to honor outstanding crew members as they ultimately compete for a gold, silver or bronze medal and individual recognition within each category.

This year, the competition’s victory round will take place at the Final 12’s respective drive-ins. Each team will travel to Nashville, Tenn., for the award ceremony taking place at the annual SONIC National Convention in September.
