Gravette girls take first in hometown event

GRAVETTE — The Gravette girls finished in first place and the boys in fourth at the Gravette Running Festival held in Lion Stadium on Friday afternoon. Gentry boys finished in sixth and the girls in eighth at the all-running event. Nine area schools participated in the track competition.

Taking first place in individual events on Friday were Gravette’s Belen Nelson in the 100-meter hurdles; Gravette girls’ 4x200-meter relay team of Ella Moorman, DaLacie Wishon, Anna Kedrowski and Belen Nelson; Julia Whorton in the 1600- and 3200-meter runs; Gravette boys’ 4x100-meter relay team of Josiah McGee, Will Betz, Levi Carnahan and Mason Meeker; Gravette’s Anna Kedrowski in the 800-meter run; Gravette girls’ 4x400-meter relay team of DaLacie Wishon, Ella Moorman, Anna Kedrowski and Belen Nelson.
