My Guardian Angel

When Woman’s World readers, Ellie and Bill Hagler, of Anniston, Alabama, were traveling home from a vacation, an angel saved them from a deadly crash! Bill writes:

It was a beautiful morning when my wife, Ellie, and I started home after a funfilled vacation. Before setting off, Ellie asked the angels to protect us during our journey.

As we were in no hurry to get home, Ellie and I decided to enjoy the quaint little towns along the way. We were having a wonderful time as Ellie drove through picturesque hamlets, each reminding us of a Norman Rockwell painting.

But then, in one town, as we approached a busy intersection, a truck pulled into the left lane alongside us, blocking our view in that direction.

We had the green light, and were just about to enter the intersection when, suddenly, a car sped from our left and was directly in front of us! There was no time to brake or swerve.

“We’re going to crash!” Ellie cried.

“There was no human way we could have avoided the collision!” Bill says

I braced myself for impact as it certainly seemed a collision was inevitable.

Ellie and I cannot explain the moments that followed, but we are certain that what happened next was not our imagination because to this day we both remember the incident in the exact same way.

It was as though time stood still, or perhaps moved in fastforward. One moment, the vehicle had been so close that I could see a woman in the front passenger seat staring out the window in horror as our car was ready to slam into them. Then, suddenly, their car was all the way across the highway, safely out of our path.

There was no human way we could have avoided what would certainly have been a deadly collision. Stunned and baffled, we had to pull over and get our bearings. The first thing Ellie said was: “Remember how we asked the angels to watch over us on our journey home?” “Yes,” I nodded. She was right. It was the only possible explanation. Angels were with us that day and saved our lives. Even now, when I remember our close encounter, I get a chill down my spine, followed by a peace that washes over me. I know, without a doubt, angels manipulated time in such a way that prevented us from slamming into that car.

“Yes, Ellie and Bill’s guardian angels defi - nitely saved their lives!” agrees Doreen Virtue, PH.D. “Over the years, I’ve received many similar stories from people whose cars were miraculously moved out of harm’s way. Always, the stories share a common link: Like Ellie and Bill, the people prayed for protection either before or during the dangerous incident.

“Remember that angels respect our free will, and they can only intervene if we ask for their help. It doesn’t matter how you ask for angelic protection, only that you do ask. I’m convinced that Ellie’s prayer saved their lives— and probably the lives of the people in the other car, too!

“The angels can defy earthly laws and logic to save our lives.

“The angels say: ‘ Our love for you is limitless, as are the ways that we protect you when you ask for our help.’ ”
