Walking sidesteps digestive cancers

Regular aerobic exercise (30 minutes of walking, cycling or swimming, three times weekly) can cut your risk of cancer of the liver, pancreas, esophagus and colon 44%, suggests a University of South Carolina’s Arnold School of Public Health study.

Stand more, slim faster!

People who stand up the most times each day tend to be slimmer than those who get up less often, reports the American College of Sports Medicine. And you needn’t do it for long each time: Standing often for two minutes increases your daily calorie burn more than 20%!
